MAINSTREAM WRESTLING IS LIVE FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA AND WE’RE INSIDE THE HISTORIC PAULEY PAVILLION...HOME OF THE UCLA BRUINS!
EARLIER TODAY...
The camera cuts to a darkened, empty arena, hours before the show has begun. In the shadows, only the barely visible shape of the MAINSTREAM ring is seen, no one and nothing in sight. But then, the MAINSTREAM World Heavyweight Champion's voice sounds abruptly in the otherwise silent scene.
MARIANO FERNANDEZ: It ends tonight, mang.
A snapping sound, and a single spotlight flares up, right on top of DA #TROLL GUY, standing in the middle of the ring - already in his traditional wrestling gear and his leather jacket over, and the World Heavyweight Title belt slung over his shoulder. He gazes at the camera with a focused, determined expression - a graveness in his voice and on the steely glint in his eyes.
MARIANO FERNANDEZ: Four months of Billy Danielson whining. Four months of Billy Danielson screaming to the four winds that he got screwed over in the three year anniversary. Four ed months of him stirring up anyone within earshot about how I'm not a deserving champion despite everything I have achieved, not just before, but AFTER I won the belt.
A lean forward of his head and an intense gaze towards the camera.
MARIANO FERNANDEZ: And yet here I stand. Two defenses, after having avenged Trixie from Eli Buchanan, and then beating none less than United States Champion Bryan Ford. And yet here I stand, GRAND SLAM CHAMPION, after capturing the title from the latter. And yet, throughout it all, throughout Billy Danielson's constant crying and complaining, HERE! I! STAND!
The echo that follows his thunderous roar reverberates throughout the entire arena.
MARIANO FERNANDEZ: And tonight, ladies and gentlemen, we come to the end of this conflict. Tonight we come to the end of any nay-sayers. We come to the point where Billy Danielson will have no room for complaints. No ed excuses, no matter how much he attempts to formulate from his mouth. We come to the point where any one in the locker room willing to say something, ANYTHING, regarding my status as Champion and of every defense that came after will be rendered ed silent. But most importantly, when the final bell has rung, and Graham Stevens announces my name as STIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLL... MAINSTREAM World Heavyweight Champion, that's when we will have come to the end of it all.
A final pause for effect, as the faintest shadow of an echo fades after his final speech.
MARIANO FERNANDEZ: Because tonight, chicos, Billy Danielson... is going to end.
