MAINSTREAM WRESTLING IS LIVE FROM ALBUQUERQUE AND WE’RE INSIDE THE DREAMSTYLE ARENA!
GRAHAM STEVENS: The opening match up is scheduled for one fall, and is for the MAINSTREAM WRESTLING HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Welcome wrestling fans to Mainstream 103! We’re getting started off with a bang as Biggs defends his title against his heated rival, Jason Cashe!
This announcement pops the crowd before Carpenter Brut’s “Leather Teeth” hits the speakers as the arena lights go dark, with spot lights flashing alternately from red to gold with white laser lights shooting from either side of the stage. Biggs makes his entrance decked out in a cherry red leather jacket and gold ring gear, with the Mainstream World Heavyweight Championship around his waist! He gets a mixed reaction from the crowd, though it’s leaning more positive than negative. Biggs is all business as he saunters down the ramp in tune with his music.
GRAHAM STEVENS: Making his way to the ring, from Seattle, Washington, weighing in at 197 pounds, he is the the MAINSTREAM WRESTLING HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, “Spaceman” Biggs!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Two weeks ago, Biggs had a successful defense against Queen Cartier, but was completely ravaged by Hood Ratchet following the match.
CHARLES HUDSON: That’s not going to bode well for him heading into this contest with Jason Cashe! I know Biggs well enough to know that he’s not going to make any excuses one way or another, but considering the history between these two men, no doubt we’re in for a war tonight!
Biggs reaches the ring and slingshots himself over the ropes before mounting the near turnbuckle. He unclasps the World Heavyweight Championship belt and raises it high above his head with one arm, giving an enthusiastic thumbs up with his free hand. He hops off the turnbuckle and hands the title belt to the ref, backing up into the corner awaiting his opponent.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Conspicuous by their absences are Biggs’ stable mates in the Smokin’ Aces. With what Lex Collins had to say two weeks ago, I’m not surprised that he’s not here, but you’d think that Bobby Larson would be with Biggs here tonight.
CHARLES HUDSON: Biggs didn’t have Bobby out here during his first defense two weeks ago, so I think it’s safe to say that his M.O. is to defend his title on his own. That and Bobby has a match of his own later tonight in the U.S. Championship Grand Prix!
“Ready or Not,” by the Fugees, plays over the speakers and the fans become unglued as Jason Cashe emerges from the back, his head bobbing along with the beat as he takes the stage! He takes one look at Biggs in the ring, and chuckles to himself before cocking his head back and howling. Two more barks follow and he rushes his way down the ramp towards the ring!
GRAHAM STEVENS: And his opponent, the challenger, from Houston, Texas by way of Decatur, Georgia, weighing in at 235 pounds, he is a truly Trouble One they call DiOGee, JASON CASHE!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Who can forget the Mainstream Wrestling 4 Year Anniversary Show, where Biggs’ interference cost Jason Cashe the Mainstream World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Hammerstein. The rivalry that spawned between these two from that moment won Feud of the Year for the 2021 Year End Awards!
CHARLES HUDSON: These two were long time friends turned bitter enemies! Their series of matches currently stands at one win apiece and a draw, so tonight is the proverbial rubber match! As you said, Biggs cost Jason Cashe the title just over two years ago. Tonight, Cashe looks to cost him the title!
Jason stops at the foot of the ramp, drawing a line on the ground with his foot before two-step jogging towards the apron & hopping up. He dips under the top rope to enter the ring, keeping an eye on his adversary as he makes his way to the opposite side of the ring, calling for a microphone. He is given one as the fans get a loud “JASON! JASON! JASON!” chant going. The DiOGee can’t help but smirk at the warm reception, but gets right to talking as Biggs glares at him.
JASON CASHE: Biggsy, Biggsy, Biggsy!
Biggs can be seen saying, “My name’s not Biggsy.” Cashe just ignores him.
JASON CASHE: Tonight being a reunion of sorts, picking up the past, I thunk it’d be appropriate to have ourselves a special guest referee! I think you’re gonna like who I got!
Biggs just shakes his head at Cashe, looking as serious as a heart attack.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Who’s it gonna be!?
“Trouble Maker,” by Trouble Maker, hits the speakers, and Biggs’ jaw drops as none other than “The Last Magician” Sally Talfourd enters the arena to a loud pop! Cashe has a shit-eating grin on his face as Sally waves to the crowd. She’s donning a referee’s shirt and a pair of black slacks!
CHARLES HUDSON: Talk about a blast from Biggs and Jason’s past, it’s Sally freakin’ Talfourd! For those of you unfamiliar with Ms. Talfourd, she was a mainstay in Action Packed Wrestling along with Cashe, Biggs and Chris Madison! She held the World Championship on both their Overdrive and Asylum brands, and headlined the APW Reunion Show in a match against Biggs! That match would be his final match before his five year hiatus.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Sally Talfourd is a well-traveled competitor, earning accolades and titles everywhere she’s wrestled, but in terms of tonight, this has got to be a real mind blowing moment for Biggs!
CHARLES HUDSON: You’ve got that right, Lou! Biggs and Sally were great friends during their tenure in APW, and even went on a couple of dates after the aforementioned APW Reunion Show. Unfortunately, time and distance put the kibosh on any further developments between the two of them, and as we now know, Biggs is happily married to another woman. It’ll be interesting to see how Sally calls tonight’s match!
As Sally reaches the ring, she steps into the ropes, and the previously assigned ref hands her the Mainstream Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship belt before taking his leave from the ring. Sally holds it high in the air for all to see and hands it off.
The bell rings and this World Heavyweight Championship match is now underway. Meanwhile still in disbelief at seeing his old friend, Biggs isn’t fully focused, allowing Jason to rush in and clobber him with a Forearm Shot to the face that sends Biggs staggering backwards! Some more shots from Cashe pushes Biggs up against the ropes, allowing Cashe to shoot Biggs across the ring and stop him cold with a Standing Shoulder Tackle! Biggs bumps hard into the mat, knocking the wind out of him a bit, but he pushes himself back up, only to get Shoulder Tackled by Cashe again! The DiOGee reaches down, pulling Biggs back up and slapping on a Side Headlock, really wrenching it in as Sally checks to make sure it’s not a choke! Biggs gives Jason a couple of elbows to the midsection, trying to break the hold, but this just prompts him to wrench the hold even tighter, dropping to one knee as well, dragging Biggs down with him.
CHARLES HUDSON: You gotta think that Biggs was expecting Cashe to start this match out as a brawl, but this is very clever wrestling from the challenger, defying Biggs’ expectations.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: By going down to one knee, Cashe prevents Biggs from being able to shove him off into the ropes. Even if Biggs manages to wriggle free, Jason will have the advantage in being able to get to a vertical base first. Also, don’t discount the head games Cashe has already played by getting Sally Talfourd as the guest referee for this match-up!
While still on one knee, Cashe decides to have a little fun at Biggs’ expense, giving the champ a noogie while keeping the headlock on! Biggs shoves his way out of the lock, and is fuming as both men get to their feet. Biggs begins to circle Cashe, who’s got the center of the ring. Trying to find his opening, Biggs feigns shooting in, but Jason knows better than to take the bait, throwing a low kick to keep Biggs back. Continuing to circle Cashe like a lion, Biggs goes all in, trying to get a hold of Cashe’s legs for a Double Leg Takedown, but Cashe manages to step back and clock Biggs with a knee to the jaw that downs him! Jason immediately springs into action, mounting Biggs and wearing him down with some Ground & Pound as Biggs turtles up! Sally is right there to make sure the champ is able to intelligently defend himself!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Jason Cashe is utterly dominating the champion thus far. He definitely got Biggs off of his game tonight!
CHARLES HUDSON: Well of course he did! Biggs hasn’t seen or talked to Sally Talfourd in the better part of 6 years, and now she’s here tonight!
As Biggs protects his face, Cashe fires off a few body blows that hit their mark, bringing Biggs’ hands down enough for him to clock Biggs right in the mush! The champ has a glassy look in his eyes as Jason transitions into a cover for 1…2…KICKOUT!
Shoulder up from Biggs! Pulling Biggs up, Cashe backs him into the ropes to shoot him off towards the other side of the ring. Biggs ducks the attempted Clothesline on the rebound, then ducks under a Backhand on the next pass before jumping up to springboard off the middle rope. Biggs mistimes the jump, though, and slips off, falling flat on his back, holding the back of his head in pain as Cashe is right there to capitalize, smothering the champ with more Ground and Pound! Biggs gets his foot on the ropes, and Sally intervenes to get Jason off of the champion!
CHARLES HUDSON: Something is definitely off with Biggs tonight! He normally doesn’t make mistakes like that!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: The champ needs to quit worrying about Sally Talfourd being the referee and start worrying about how he’s going to turn back Jason Cashe’s challenge!
As Sally backs Cashe up, Biggs reaches up and uses the ropes to start pulling himself back up to a vertical base. Sally steps out of the way, allowing Cashe to come rushing in, drilling Biggs with a hard Knee right to the ribs, sending “The Spaceman” spilling through the middle of the ropes to the floor! There’s a loud “JASON! JASON!” chant going, and Cashe is feeling pretty confident as he gets a running start towards the ropes, and goes for a Baseball Slide, but Biggs ducks down, sending Cashe sliding above him. Jason lands on both feet on the floor, but Biggs is right there to shove him back first into the barricade, giving Cashe some swift Knee Strikes to the midsection before leading him back to the ring and rolling him in underneath the ropes. Hopping up onto the apron, the champ motions for Cashe to get up, and as the challenger does, Biggs slingshots himself onto the top rope for a Springboard Clothesline that takes Cashe right back down! Bigs goes for a quick cover, but Sally doesn’t even get to the count of one before Cashe kicks out! The two men trade punches fast and furious on the way up, but since Cashe has the decided edge in brawling ability, he gains the advantage as they’re both up to a vertical base. Chaining together punch after punch, Cashe backs Biggs into the near corner, rocking him with a hard Forearm Shot to the chin before unloading a vicious Knife Edge Chop! “WOOOOOO!” the crowd chants as Cashe winds up for another one! “WOOOOOOO!” the crowd chants again as Cashe lights up Biggs’ chest with more and more Knife Edge Chops that increase in velocity and ferocity! Jason Cashe lands at least a baker’s dozen of Chops before finally letting up to bark towards the fans, as Biggs collapses to a seated position in the corner. Biggs’ chest is already red with welts and bruises! Sally checks with Biggs to make sure that he can continue, and the champ nods wearily.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Jason Cashe is having himself some fun tonight! Even though he protested the fact that he was getting a World Title opportunity so soon after his return, you know he is relishing the fact that he gets to punish Biggs here tonight!
CHARLES HUDSON: I think it’s safe to say by this point that Sally Talfourd is calling things right down the middle. Hopefully Biggs recognizes this fact, and can get back on track!
As Biggs begins to pull himself back up to his feet, Cashe rushes in for a Running Body Splash, but “The Spaceman” dodges, sending Cashe crashing chest first into the turnbuckle! Biggs grabs a hold of the back of Jason’s head, and pounds it into the turnbuckle pad a couple of times before letting go, stepping back and firing off a hard Round Kick that catches Cashe right in the spine! As Biggs keeps throwing Round Kicks, Sally tells him to bring it out of the corner. He obliges by running to the opposite corner, getting a running start, and nailing Cashe with a Stinger Splash to the back! Biggs is quick to mount the turnbuckle as Cashe falls backwards, but “The DiOGee” instinctually rolls under the ropes, out of the ring. Biggs stays perched atop the top turnbuckle, and as Cashe stumbles around a bit on the outside, Biggs leaps off for a Double Axe Handle to the spine! Jason falls to the floor, arching his back in pain as Biggs quickly pulls him back up and rolls him into the ring, pulling his head out under the ropes to drape over the side of the apron. Biggs gives him a Bionic Elbow to the face before hopping up onto the apron and delivering a Guillotine Leg Drop right across Cashe’s throat! Sally tells Biggs to bring it back into the ring, and he does so, sliding in and pulling Cashe away from the ropes before hooking both legs for 1…2…KICKOUT!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: It looks like Biggs has finally settled into the match.
Grabbing a hold of Cashe’s head, Biggs begins to pull him up to a vertical base, but Cashe shoves Biggs off into the ropes, and as Biggs bounds back, Cashe drills him with a King Kong Lariat, turning Biggs inside out!
Keeping hands on Biggs as the Champion pushes up off the canvas. Jason Cashe snatches him up and whips him across the ring. Biggs springs off the far ropes, picking up speed as he slings back towards Cashe. The Challenger hooks the arm, lifting and flipping Biggs with a Hip Toss but the Champion lands on his feet!
Cashe acts quickly, leaping up and going for his Jumping Neckbreaker but Biggs dives forward, almost sensing that the move was being attempted. Both scrambling to their feet, Cashe swings a wild clothesline, Biggs ducks it and races to the ropes yet again. On his whip back, Cashe spins around and catches Biggs to the midsection with a well placed toe kick. Pulling his head down in between his legs, Cashe grabs Biggs around the waist and lifts him for a Powerbomb. Biggs slips free and turns the motion in his favor, pulling Cashe's head down into a Sitdown Facebuster!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: These two competitors know each other so well!
Biggs reaches down to pull Cashe back up, but he pulls a fast one, catching Biggs by surprise in a Small Package pin! Sally makes the count for 1…2…KICKOUT! The champ is visibly frustrated by this as he gets back up to his feet, and Cashe is quick to sweep his legs out from underneath him, pinning Biggs’ shoulders to the mat once more for 1…2…KICKOUT! Cashe takes a moment to pop Biggs right in the mush with a couple of Forearm Smashes, dazing the champ!
Jason Cashe pulls Biggs up by the hair and pushes him back-first into the near corner, dashing in for a Running Back Elbow! Biggs gets out of dodge just in time, driving the top turnbuckle into Jason’s armpit! Like a shark that smells blood, Biggs immediately grabs a hold of Jason’s right arm, giving “The DiOGee” a couple of Arm Wringers before giving Cashe a 12-to-6 Elbow Strike right to his elbow joint! In one fluid motion, Biggs twists Jason’s arm into a Hammerlock, and places his boot in the crook of Jason’s knee, forcing him down to one knee. Maintaining the Hammerlock, Biggs wraps his left arm up and under Jason’s chin, pulling him in position for a Shockwave Reverse DDT! Cashe howls in pain, clutching his knee!
CHARLES HUDSON: What a nasty, nasty maneuver by Biggs there! Not only does he pull off the Hammerlock DDT, which puts pressure on the shoulder and arm of Cashe, but by doing so with Cashe in the kneeling position, he could have potentially blown out Cashe’s knee!
Biggs immediately follows up by grabbing a hold of Jason’s ankle, pulling his leg up so he can give him a couple of kicks to the thigh, softening up Jason’s leg even more! He tries to grab a hold of Jason’s other ankle, perhaps going for a Sharpshooter, but Jason isn’t going down without a fight, kicking at Biggs with all he’s got, finally pushing “The Spaceman” back wit2h a well-placed boot to the sternum! Cashe curses under his breath as he slaps his knee joint, trying to get feeling back into it, but Biggs is right back on him, trying to gain a hold of the legs again! This time, Biggs is able to step through, but as he turns to lock in the Sharpshooter, Cashe manages to slip his good leg free and kick Biggs right on the rump with such force that Biggs falls flat on his face! Reaching out and grabbing a hold of the nearest ropes, Cashe drags himself over and begins to pull himself up to his feet as Biggs shakes the cobwebs. The champ turns to see Cashe most of the way up, and lunges as his legs, but Cashe uses his good leg hops up and comes crashing down on top of Biggs, his rear end landing right on the back of Biggs’ head!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: I’m not sure what you’d call that! But it speaks to the scrappiness of Jason Cashe! Some of his offense isn’t that pretty, in fact it’s downright ugly, but gosh, it’s effective!
Biggs holds his face in pain, and some blood can be seen trickling through his hands as he kicks the mat in anguish. Sally Talfourd pulls a pair of latex gloves out of her pocket and puts them on. Cashe has a slight limp as he reaches down, pulling his adversary up and giving him a stiff Elbow Shot to the midsection! This forces Biggs’ hands down, revealing that Cashe gave him a bloody nose with the unintentional Banzai Drop, and Cashe follows up with another Elbow Shot right between the eyes! This staggers Biggs up against the ropes, and Cashe throws a couple of knees with his good leg, connecting to the solar plexus of the champ before shooting Biggs across the ring to the opposite ropes! Cashe sidesteps Biggs on the rebound, shoving him to give him more momentum, and on the next pass, Cashe launches Biggs with a Low Back Body Drop that whips Biggs around lightning quick and causes his legs to get jammed up in the bottom rope! Cashe reaches down and grabs a hold of Biggs’ head, dragging him away from the ropes before mounting him for some more Ground & Pound before peeling Biggs up off the canvas.
With a running start, Cashe drags Biggs diagonally across the ring before launching him hard into the turnbuckles with a Hip Toss. Biggs slumps upside down in the corner as Cashe begins stomping away at him. Sally Talfourd gives Cashe a five count before she pulls at him to break from attack.
He rips away from her grasp before remembering it was Sally. Giving her a smile, Cashe nods agreeing to follow her rule as the referee. Grabbing down at a slumped upside down Biggs, Cashe gets the Champion up to his feet with his back pressed against the turnbuckle pads. Leaning into Biggs, Cashe pulls away and rips Biggs out of the corner with a heavy Irish Whip. He races towards the diagonal corner and Cashe gives chase.
Biggs races up the turnbuckles and snaps up and over with a beautiful Moonsault off the Irish whip. Cashe catches the Champion over his right shoulder and quickly snaps forward, slamming the Champ with an Oklahoma style Slam. He hooks the leg and goes for a pin. Sally makes the count for 1…2…KICKOUT!
Cashe slaps the mat in disgust, holding up three fingers towards Ms. Talfourd. Sally responds with holding two fingers up, telling Cashe he didn’t quite do enough yet!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: You can tell that Cashe is getting a bit frustrated with the fact that he hasn’t put Biggs away yet.
CHARLES HUDSON: I’m still really impressed with how Sally Talfourd has called this match right down the middle! Especially considering the history between her and both competitors!
As Cashe begins to pull Biggs back up to his feet, “The Spaceman” counters with a Jaw-Breaker that sends Jason staggering backwards! Biggs is quick to go back to the legs of Cashe, shooting in for a Double-Leg Takedown! With Jason’s back on the mat, Biggs grabs a hold of the left leg, giving Cashe a few more kicks to the back of his thigh before hooking the heel and falling backwards, as if he were giving Cashe’s ankle a DDT! The sudden jolt from the maneuver affects Cashe’s knee quite negatively, as he’s howling in pain! The champ transitions into a Grapevine Leg Lock, wrenching at the ankle of his adversary and torquing the knee! Sally is right there to check on Cashe, but he’s not ready to give up, gritting his teeth as he looks around to see which ropes are closest. Settling on the ropes behind him, Cashe digs down deep, slowly dragging both his own and Biggs’ body weight across the mat!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Jason Cashe has to be in excruciating pain here! As he’s dragging himself and Biggs, Jason’s leg is bearing all of the weight of the champion. Between Biggs’ efforts to hurt him, plus plain physics, Cashe needs to reach the ropes as quickly as he can!
The fans are behind Cashe, getting a loud, “JASON! JASON!” chant going, and Jason leans back, reaching for the ropes with both arms! He’s a fingertip away, and digs his elbows into the mat one more time to drive himself back just a few more inches before finally getting a hold of the ropes! Biggs immediately honors the rope break, letting go and breaking the hold. He backs up as Sally gets between him and Jason, allowing “The DiOGee” time to hobble up to a vertical base.
As Cashe rises, Biggs cocks back and strikes Cashe with a vicious open palm slap to the chest. Cashe cries out as he turns and hugs himself. In a hurry, Biggs grabs Cashe in a back to front standing cutter position, looking to hit his Sliced Bread. Cashe shoves him away and as Biggs spins around, he is met with a Snap Jab to the face that stumbles him in place.
Another jab lands flush and wobbles Biggs as Cashe rockets a slap across Biggs' face, knocking him sideways as he falls into the nearby ropes.
CHARLES HUDSON: Cashe just slapped Biggs like he owed him money!
Grabbing Biggs from behind, Cashe is surprised as Biggs hooks himself into another cutter position before jumping up and kicking off the ropes, spinning Cashe around by the head before bringing him down with a Slingshot Stunner as Biggs drops down onto his butt. Cashe pops up and stumbles back before tumbling back onto the canvas.
Hurrying to his feet, Biggs races to the ropes away from his opponent. Sally Talfourd moves out of the way as Biggs comes flying off the ropes. Cashe shakes off his daze and pushes off the canvas as Biggs rushes towards him and swirls around Cashe with a Float Over Rear Naked Choke! Cashe erupts with panic as he reaches out for ropes. Biggs wraps his legs around Cashe's back and tightens the submission as Cashe steps forward in almost pothole steps.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Another submission attempt for Biggs! With Jason carrying all of his weight, it’s really putting pressure on the bad leg of Cashe!
Sally comes in, asking for a verbal or physical tapout from Cashe. Instead of using typical submission defense because Cashe has little of it, he instead heads to the corner, visibly fading with every movement he makes to get there. Biggs wiggles and growls as he holds on in his backpack rear naked choke.
Reaching the corner, Cashe begins to climb the turnbuckles! Fans get on their feet as Biggs eyes widen. With his feet on the second turnbuckle, Cashe shoves back and takes him and Biggs off the ropes, crashing into the canvas! The submission breaks as Biggs lays pancaked between Cashe and the ring canvas. Technically a pin, Sally drops and slaps the count for 1…2…NEARFALL!
Biggs just barely gets his shoulder up, saving his World Title reign at the very last possible moment!
CHARLES HUDSON: That was closer than my morning shave!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: This has been a war from the jump, and both men are showing signs of the grueling battle they have endured thus far!
Biggs is holding his midsection in pain as he rolls over onto his side. Cashe stretches out his left leg a bit before rising up, stalking Biggs from behind as he slowly makes his way up as well. In a grapple from behind, Cashe lifts Biggs for a back body drop but the Champion punches Cashe and lands back to his feet. Having Cashe in a reversed Standing Headlock, Biggs looks for a Running Bulldog. As he gets into the run, Cashe pulls out and redirects Biggs chest first into the corner. Biggs pops off the corner and flies back with a back elbow that lands flush into Cashe's face.
Biggs grabs hold of Cashe in a standing cutter but instead rushes back to the corner, running up the turnbuckle pads, looking for his Sliced Bread #2 that he calls "The Bigg Time" but as he gets to the jump off point, Cashe again shoves him and Biggs goes flying to the outside of the ring, crashing HARD into the floor.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Biggs crashed and burned on that attempt at The Bigg Time!
Holding onto the ropes to keep himself standing. Cashe watches as Sally begins the 20 Count that Mainstream has installed for countouts. Waving her off, Cashe exits through the ropes and drops to the outside.
In a hurry, Cashe picks Biggs up from behind, hooking his arms behind him before snapping him up and over with a sloppy but painful looking Tiger Suplex. Cashe, slow to get up, rolls back into the ring as Sally is into the count.
…4!
…5!
…6!
…7!
…8!
…9!
Biggs starts to really stir. His first movements after the Suplex. His hands clenched into fists.
…10!
…11!
Struggling to push up, Biggs flops to the ground again. Dragging himself to the ring, he was still fighting to make the count.
…12!
…13!
…14!
…15!
…16!
Cashe shaking his head, he was not going to see this match end in a count out. He would get the win but the goal was not just to win but take away the belt from his rival. He exits the ring forcing the count to restart. Not touching Biggs though, Cashe re-enters the ring and shoves himself to his feet.
…1!
…2!
Sally gives Cashe a look
…3!
Cashe waves at her with a forced and exhausted grin on his face.
Biggs pulls himself up using the apron. Clawing and pulling himself under the bottom rope as he is slow to enter the ring. Cashe not giving him anymore time, hurries in and drops a stiff knee down into the nape of Biggs' neck. The Champion goes into agony mode as he grabs at his neck and begins to flop around. Before Cashe can continue his attack, Sally steps in and shoves Cashe back so she can check on Biggs.
Shaking off the notion that the match could end in injury, Cashe shoved his way to Biggs. Pulling him up off the canvas before crushing him with a Swinging Reverse STO! Before making a pin attempt, Cashe makes eye contact with Sally and gives her a wave. That was a move he knew she would recognize.. It was one of her Finishers.
She lowers to the canvas, keeping eye contact with Cashe as she slaps the count and does so slowly for 1…2…KICKOUT!
Biggs rolls his shoulder just off the canvas in the nick of time!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: That couldn’t be any closer without Jason winning the title!
CHARLES HUDSON: It’s obvious that Jason was trying to send a message to Sally with the Swinging Reverse STO! But what that message is, who can say besides Jason!?
Cashe smells blood in the water, getting up to his feet and pulling down his elbow pad. He motions his arm, calling for the MARK OF JASON as he stalks Biggs. As the champ slowly reaches his feet and turns to face Cashe, Jason goes for his Bullhammer Elbow Strike, but Biggs counters with a jumping Spinning Heel Kick, the Hurt Head Nebula! He collapses onto Jason, 1…2…Kick out from the Challenger! Biggs tries to peel Cashe off the mat, but gets shoved in the chest for his troubles, and Cashe fires off the MARK OF JASON once more! Biggs ducks it, getting behind his rival and immediately clips the left leg of Jason, taking him back down to the mat! Grabbing a hold of Jason’s left leg on either side of his knee, Biggs goes to town on the side of Cashe’s knee joint, drilling it with vicious, targeted knee strikes! After a baker’s dozen of the knee strikes, Biggs hooks the heel of Jason’s left leg and clasps his hands right above Jason’s kneecap, turning him over for what can best be described as a Single-Leg Liontamer! Biggs places his knee on the side of Jason’s face, and even though Cashe tries to kick him off, he’s at such an awkward angle that it’s impossible for the kicks to have any sort of power behind them! Sally right down there checking on Cashe, but he refuses to give up!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Biggs’ targeted attacks on Jason’s left leg all match are paying dividends now! He’s looking to make Cashe tap the heck out!
CHARLES HUDSON: Jason Cashe is as stubborn and tough as they come! I doubt that he’ll tap out, especially against somebody he hates as much as Biggs, but his body may very well give up on him!
Biggs continues to press his knee hard into Jason’s head while torquing the knee, and Cashe’s eyes roll into the back of his head! His arms go limp! Sally Talfourd is right there to lift the arm of Cashe, and as she releases it, it falls to the mat. “1!” Sally counts, raising one finger. The fans are clapping and cheering, trying to will Jason on as Sally grabs his wrist again, raising the arm off the mat, releasing it and seeing it fall harmlessly to the mat once more! “2!”
CHARLES HUDSON: Biggs is on the cusp of retaining his title!
Sally grabs Cashe’s wrist for the third and final time, lifting his arm up, letting it go, and watching it fall down to the mat-NO! Cashe is able to raise his fist just as it was about to touch the mat, causing the crowd to go wild! Biggs abandons the hold and begins to stomp the head of Cashe mercilessly, livid that he just wouldn’t get up! After a few stomps to the back of Cashe’s head, Biggs backs up to the far corner, motioning for his adversary to get up! Cashe is slow to do so, and once he’s up to a knee, Biggs rushes in for the IMPACT CRATER, but Cashe counters with a Back Body Drops that sends Biggs crashing back first into the turnbuckle! Jason is on one leg as he gets to a vertical base, and as Biggs gets up and gets turned around to face him, Jason finally connects with THE MARK OF JASON! The fans erupt as Jason flops onto Biggs for the pin, 1…2…Sally stops the count as Biggs gets his foot on the ropes! Cashe pulls Biggs’ leg off the ropes, hooking it for 1…2…KICKOUT!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Even with one leg, the power and force of The Mark of Jason was enough to garner Cashe at least a five count. Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t concurrently!
Jason can’t believe it, and Sally holds up two fingers, letting him know it was just a near-fall! Jason has a sour look on his face as he drags Biggs away from the ropes and gets behind him, motioning for Biggs to get up. “The Spaceman” is still dazed as he slowly begins to rise, with Cashe right there, waiting to pounce! As Biggs is back up to his feet, Jason goes for the U.T.I. Neckbreaker, but Biggs slips out of it, and as Cashe turns to face him, Biggs kicks Jason’s left leg out from underneath him, allowing Biggs to hoist Jason onto his shoulders and drive his head into the mat with a Burning Hammer! Biggs collapses onto Jason, hooking both legs, as Sally makes the count of 1…2…3!

Biggs starts to really stir. His first movements after the Suplex. His hands clenched into fists.

Struggling to push up, Biggs flops to the ground again. Dragging himself to the ring, he was still fighting to make the count.

GRAHAM STEVENS: Your winner by way of pin fall AND STILL Mainstream Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion is 'the Spaceman'...BIGGS!
“Leather Teeth” blares over the sound system as Biggs sits up, exhausted, completely spent from his match with Jason Cashe! Sally helps him up, handing him the Mainstream World Heavyweight Title belt and raising his arm high in victory!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: As soon as this match was booked, we knew we were in for a classic, and boy did this one not disappoint!
CHARLES HUDSON: Not to mention the surprise added wrinkle of Sally Talfourd as the special guest referee! Save for the one slow count, she called this one right down the middle!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: There’s no doubt that Jason is going to take umbrage with that, but she probably took umbrage with him using the Swinging Reverse STO.
CHARLES HUDSON: But Cashe took the most umbrage with Biggs utilizing the Burning Hammer to secure the win! We’ve only seen Biggs use that maneuver once before when he defeated Skye Healy to win the United States Championship in 2021, but when he delivers it, there’s no getting up!
Cashe is still out on the mat as Biggs and Sally chat it up in the corner, no doubt getting caught up on six-years of missed time being friends. Biggs holds the ropes open for Sally to exit, and follows her outside the ring himself, turning to face the fans and hold his title high for all to see. Other officials and medical staff have made their way out to check on Jason, who is starting to finally come to, and as he realizes what happened, hearing Biggs’ music, he shoves them off and curses loudly. He turns and notices Biggs and Sally walking up the ramp, talking to one another. Cashe seethes with anger as Mainstream Wrestling fades to a commercial break.
