MAINSTREAM WRESTLING IS LIVE FROM ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI AND WE’RE INSIDE THE ENTERPRISE CENTER FOR MAINSTREAM 76!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to Mainstream 76!
"Until the End" by Breaking Benjamin begins to play and the Kansas City fans erupt as they turn to the entrance expecting AJ Knight. Really, it's hard to co-sign the fans when they should really know better after years and years of this kind of setup. Out walks Jason Cashe and you can hear the fans groan, turning their cheers into boos. As the music cuts off, Cashe pulls a microphone out from the back waistline of his pants.
JASON CASHE: Let me tell you.. I had half a mind to invite James Edwards to come out here and relive the 'Nighty Knight' parody.
The fans didn't appreciate that as much this time around. Knight had earned a change of heart. He was received with boos yet again. Wearing some bandaging on his forehead from his match in Greece a few days ago. Cashe continues.
JASON CASHE: James Edwards is a bitch though so, I figured it was best I come out here alone. No filter like an ugly girl selfie with self esteem issues! Just me and a microphone..
Nearing the ring, Cashe steps to the steel stairs and begins to climb them. Not wasting time on the apron, he dips and ducks to enter the ring. Once inside, the microphone returns to his mouth.
JASON CASHE: Really. I have nothing but respect for AJ Knight. I mean.. He did what he said he would do! He gave me a fight. He put it all on the line to prove to me, to himself and to everyone of you that he was a changed man! He showed that he was no longer the pompous ass that was too well documented as a member of The Franchise.. Yet, it wasn't good enough!
There it was! That moment where you give someone a little bit of niceties before adding in a 'but' or in this case, a 'yet'. The fans waited for the moment before letting Cashe hear the boos once again. He grinned.
JASON CASHE: So gullible! Let me try this…
Moving towards the ring in a jolting motion. Cashe presses against the ropes.
JASON CASHE: KANSAS CITY TURN UP!!
As per request, the fans roar in cheer as their city is mentioned. Cashe shakes his head and returns to the center of the ring. Laughing as he brings the microphone to his mouth again.
JASON CASHE: I love you guys, never change!
Now he was getting a few cheers and applause from the fans. Really, his appreciation for them was sarcastic but it didn't matter. He could flip the switch getting both heat and love almost on call.
JASON CASHE: I know a lot of the people in the back. Some of you out here tonight and those watching at home truly thought that I wouldn't be here tonight. That I was going to be beaten, defeated and sent home, no longer employed with Mainstream Wrestling! Sorry to break it you all.. I'm not going anywhere!
Now there was a mixed reaction. Some cheered, gave him his proper due. Others were bandwagon haters who just cannot stand someone putting in the work, earning and not demanding their spot.
JASON CASHE: AJ Knight had 4 years here! He did some amazing things inside this very ring but the ONE thing he did NOT do was beat ME! He was a Champion, multiple times over. A member of what is debatable as the greatest Faction this Promotion has ever seen in The Franchise and I F**KING stamped his last paycheck!
Less of a response came from the live audience. The reality of it was settled in. Nothing Cashe was saying was wrong. He wasn't bragging, he was stating actual facts.
JASON CASHE: Name after name, I have taken losses and given losses to the who's who in this company's history! Yet people want to downplay my hustle! Fine. I won't be found rebranding open challenges and building legacy off of quick, no value matches. No, I will grab someone's attention and give them mine. I will haunt them, stalk them and give you a long stroke of problems. I might not take shortcuts to a spotlight but I will have them nonetheless..
Placing his free hand over his mouth. Cashe scratches his bearded face and paces a bit in the ring.
JASON CASHE: Now I know that Management, Bombay in particular, has a problem with me. Don't worry, I have no interest in 'feuding' with anyone who cannot step in this ring and throw hands. I do, however, have a message for the man.
Finding the main camera at ringside, Cashe approaches it. His face centering in the lens, he was as direct as he could be in the view of the camera.
JASON CASHE: Don't threaten me with a walkthrough. Don't look to take my focus. Fine me, slap my wrist but if you come after MY job again? I will go from the Assistant's Assistant to the top executive in this Company and I will BURY each one of yo--
LADIES & GENTS, THIS IS THE MOMENT YOU’VE WAITED FOR!
"The Greatest Show" begins to play throughout the arena. The lights slowly dim as the music plays while the spotlights move in sequence across the audience and back to the stage in sequence with the bear of the music.

Seemingly hundreds of camera flashes begin lighting up the darkened arena then suddenly the curtain is thrown back and Mainstream Wrestling CEO Robb Daniels emerges from behind the curtain...Robb wears a very serious look upon his face, walking down the center of the runway.

He stops on the apron, wiping his boots before stepping inside the ring.He circles the ring in his fancy suit and sunglasses before taking a microphone from Graham Stevens.
ROBB DANIELS: Hello Jason…
There was a snickering on Cashe's face as Robb removes the sunglasses from his face, folds them and slides them into the pocket of his suit.
JASON CASHE: How you doing, Robb? You good?
Such sarcasm. The two men had a mutual respect, at least until more recently when little jabs from each started in another company.
ROBB DANIELS: I'm doing great! I heard what you were saying and I have a few things to add.. If you don't mind?
Stepping aside and motioning his arm for Robb, Jason Cashe was giving him the floor. It was Robb's company afterall.
ROBB DANIELS: Ladies and Gentlemen of Kansas City! First of all we want to thank you for allowing us back into your CITY! A couple weeks ago at MAINSTREAM 76 we saw Jason and AJ Knight go head to head in one of the toughest, one of the most violent brawls in the history of this company and I’ll go as far to says in the history of this business. They gave us everything they had and then some. We were entertained but at the end of then night only one man would prevail. And only one man would return here tonight to Mainstream Wrestling with the other being pardoned from their contractual duties to the company and never to be seen again!
“Now had you asked me if I would have foreseen the outcome that happened then no. No, I wouldn’t have because many believe including myself that an accomplished individual such as AJ Knight could have easily handled a loose cannon such as Jason Cashe…”
Cashe smiles and looks around at the audience.
ROBB DANIELS: Now no disrespect Jason but I think we all know that AJ Knight a former United States, Tag Team and World Heavyweight Champion is a pillar in the history of this company. Not only is he considered a superior ring technician than you but in December he will be enshrined as one of this years Hall of Fame inductees!

ROBB DANIELS: AJ—is unaware of this at this time but I’m certain he’s probably watching from home.
JASON CASHE: Or a hospital room…
ROBB DANIELS: Congratulations Cashe, you won. You get to live to fight another day. And maybe some day, if you live long enough you’ll find solace in the fact that you ended the career of one of the biggest pains in my ass of all time! That’s right, AJ and I had our disagreements, we fought and kicked each others ass but he’s twice the wrestler, twice the professional and one hundred times the man you’ll ever be!
JASON CASHE: Are you done?
ROBB DANIELS: As a matter of fact I’m not, I want to correct you on something you said earlier…
JASON CASHE: DO TELL! How did I speak out of turn?
ROBB DANIELS: You may have made the cover to defeat AJ Knight but it was me who signed his last paycheck. And it will be me who signs your final one as well! Don’t you forget it!
As Cashe's eyebrows rise above his eyes then—BAM!
Using the butt of the microphone, Robb Daniels knocks Cashe in the head. In the same area he had bandages at! As Cashe slaps back on the canvas, he grabs his head and blood forms between his fingers as his wound is reopened. Daniels ignores the crowd as they roar with a booing excitement with a trim of cheers. Standing next to a downed Cashe, Robb kneels down.
ROBB DANIELS: You talk too damn much!
Daniels start putting the boots to the now downed Jason Cashe causing him to cover up. Security and the medical team comes down to the ring but Robb haults them with one wave of the arm. They stop dead in their tracks at the bottom of the ramp way.
ROBB DANIELS: Let’s not forget that you can go anywhere else and make a fool out of yourself but you’re here, in Mainstream Wrestling, my company, where I call the shots! And at the Fifth Year Anniversary of MY Company, I finish the job that AJ Knight couldn’t!
Robb rips off his suit jacket, loosens his neck tie and begins pummeling the head of Cashe with right hands!
CHARLES HUDSON: He’s snapped Lou!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: This is not the way that I expected to kick off Conflict here tonight…
The medical staff is ordered to enter the ring by Kevin Bombay who is now at ringside. Daniels backs away looking at the blood on his hands. A surreal look comes over his face as if he’s wondering what has he done. He wipes the blood from Cashe on his dress shirt and exits the ring. A stern look at him by Bombay as he exits the ringside area. Robb Daniels doesn't look back, he doesn't interact with fans, he just heads to the back.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Ladies and Gentlemen we’re going to take our first commercial break of the night and when we return maybe we’ll have a positive medical update on Jason Cashe and more answers.
