CONFLICT IS LIVE FROM LOUISVILLE AND WE’RE INSIDE FREEDOM HALL...FOR MAINSTREAM WRESTLING!
PREVIOUSLY RECORDED...
A streetlight in the distance flickers as we see two figures stand next to a chain link fence closer to the camera. The camera zooms towards the figures being illuminated in the darkness by the neon lights of the shops on the opposite side of the road. The duo seem to have championship belts draped over their shoulders. The pull back their goodies and we see that they are, Emma Douglas and Sage Lowry, Violent Intent. Laughter bellows from Emma as she begins to pace along the side walk, but Sage is the one to speak first
SAGE LOWRY: Why Emma Why? Why Sage why? That's all we've heard the past few days. Ever since Mainstream 73 in Portland, those words have followed us. Why would we dare to interrupt a perfectly fine World Championship match? Why attack Chris Madison and his challenger James Edwards?
Sage chuckles to herself and shakes her head.
SAGE LOWRY: I could tell you it was a study in chaos. That we are the very aspect of trying to sow a little mayhem, but while true, isn't the main reason for our actions. It was to prove a point. To make a statement. That Emma and I won't be regulated to just the tag division. Equal but separate isn't equal, right? Those words have been uttered before, right?
Sage pats the championship belt hanging from Emma's shoulder.
SAGE LOWRY: Now, I know what You're a saying, she had her chance in that tournament, right? I believe Madison himself tried to make that very point. And to that I say, sure. She had to "earn" her way like the rest. And who knows but that over cocky brash twerp O' Reilly went and tapped out, dashing not only his hope but Emma's as well. So forgive us for feeling a bit slighted because the loud mouth couldn't back up his trash talk. And instead of beating him silly, we decided to make better usage of our time and aim a little higher on the good chain.
Sage smiles once more.
SAGE LOWRY: With no real credible challengers on the your after one of the Euphoric blondes went down, we figured we should be taken a bit more seriously around here.
I was a stand out Squire, head of my class and leaps and bounds ahead of my peers. And Emma here? She has been kicking ass here for well over a year and has what to show for it? Sure, these belts are nice, but she deserves more. She has earned more than to be a bit player in the tag division, toiling away her best years in pestilence.
Sage rolls her neck and glares quite hard at the camera.
SAGE LOWRY: Now we understand that we may have ruffled a few feathers with our actions and to that we say this...GOOD. This place could use a good shaking up. That wasn't how you pictures your first title defense to end, huh, Chris? Well..
Emma interjects herself finally.
EMMA DOUGLAS: Get. Over. It. You can be all miffed and sullen about it all you want, but our actions have you another opportunity, didn't it? You want a shot at costing us our gold? Go right ahead and try and step up to us. The most violent duo in the company. Go. Right. Ahead. Make my day. You and Edwards are nowhere near a coherent team and we are going to make you suffer many times over. You think you can trust your number one contender long enough to tag with him? No, I don't believe you can. I've seen the look on his eyes, that hunger for more gold, you cannot trust him not to stab you in the back, Chris. And that's why you'll fail. And then we'll get that title shot I've been deserving of for so long.
Emma puffs her chest up all big and such.
EMMA DOUGLAS: Good luck, boys. You're gonna need it.
