MCKAYLA LEWIS: Ladies and Gentlemen it's Saturday Night and we're Live from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon for MAINSTREAM 3! We're going to kick the show off with Robb Daniels who is already inside the ring.
ROBB DANIELS: Typically when I come out here it's to make an announcement or commend someone on an achievement but tonight I am out here tonight to make each and everyone of you a promise...
Daniels is standing with one hand in his pocket, staring at the mat inside the ring with the lights up showing the sold out crowd standing in attention.
ROBB DANIELS: I promise that what went down during the Heavyweight Championship match at MAINSTREAM 2 will never happen again. There will never be another match on my watch in which the winner will be determined by the Midnight Horsemen or anyone else for that matter...
He removes his hand from his pocket and waves his finger while smiling.
ROBB DANIELS: Now I know what you're thinking...you're saying but Robb this is Professional Wrestling. In a no disqualification match interference is not only fair game but welcomed.
I know that. I've done this for the last thirteen years of my life. I've cheated, been cheated, I've won and I've loss matches as a result but the Midnight Horsemen have not just challenged my authority but they disrespected me. Later tonight Jacob Hammerstein will defend the Endurance Championship but all I'm going to say is it better not go to a decision...
CROWD CHEERS
ROBB DANIELS: Scotty Latimer will defend the Pride Championship on his own. All members of the Horsemen are barred from ringside including that baboon Mason Moore.
CROWD CHEERS
ROBB DANIELS: As for the contract signing...Billy Danielson will show up by himself, sign the contract, shake the hand of Bryan Blaze and then leave. No physical altercations between the two will take place tonight so they can save it for Seattle!
Daniels unbuttons his suit jacket and begins making his way to exit the ring.
ROBB DANIELS: I hope everybody enjoys themselves tonight and let's get started with our first match.
Daniels sets the microphone on the ring apron while exiting the ring and he walks along the stage and behind the curtain as Graham Stevens enters the ring to introduce the competitors in the first match.
CHARLES HUDSON: Sweet Lou...we have an action packed night of professional wrestling ahead of us...
"Circus" by Britney Spears begins playing through the speakers as Ruby Lance struts her way out onto the stage and flips her hair as she swivels her way into a sideways stance at the top of the stage.
GRAHAM STEVENS: Introducing first, standing at five feet and one inch tall from Rose, Nebraska. Making her Seattle Pro Wrestling debut...RUBY LANCE!
She greets the fans with a bright, cheery smile and performs a little dip before skipping her way down to the ring. She interrupts her skip long enough to slap a few outstretched hands on her way. Hustling up the ring steps, she ducks into the ring under the middle rope and heads across the ring to step on the bottom rope for a photo op. Lance steps back as the lights dim and she awaits her opponent.
YOUR HERO, AND MINE
A massive pop ensues as emerging from the back is the self proclaimed "Prince of CHAOS", Mark Storm; who keeps himself composed as he stands at the top of the entrance ramp. He can't help but allow his sadistic signature smirk to appear upon his lips as he closes his eyes with his arms spreads wide, the SKYFIRE Championship draped across his shoulder while soaking in the energy that the audience are giving him as they applaud and cheer.
GRAHAM STEVENS: Weighing in at two hundred and twenty pounds and standing at six feet and three inches tall from Brooklyn, New York. He's the SKYFIRE Champion...MARK STORM!
He begins his walk down the entrance ramp with a leather coat completing his attire as he comes down the entrance ramp.
At this point Storm is by the edge of the ring; allowing a smile to embed on his face before he jumps onto the apron and holds onto the ropes, using them to help himself up onto the turnbuckle. He's grinning from ear to ear, soaking in the rest of the cheers coming from the audience, shaking his head sideways as he lowers it, before jumping into the ring.
Taking off his leather coat, he hands it to the ring announcer before walking over to his designated corner and hoisting himself up onto the second rope holding up the SKYFIRE Championship, a smirk upon his lips as he holds his arms up; his theme song cuts off and he hands off the Championship title belt.
Ruby Lance vs Mark Storm
The bell sounds and the arena begins to rock with excitement as the two competitors circle the ring before approaching one another. Storm extends a hand and Ruby looks at it, not sure whether this is Mark Storm trying to play mind games like he does so often. She reluctantly extends her hand and the two shake, to the surprise and applause of everyone in the arena.
Backing away, the two return to circling around the ring before lunging forward, with Storm pulling out at the last second and stepping away from Ruby, shaking his head and waving his finger. They circle, lunge forward and once again Storm steps away from the lunge, a smirk appearing upon his lips, Ruby stands frustrated. They lunge forward again but this time, they lock up properly with Storm quickly managing to get in behind Ruby. Rear waist lock, he lifts her up and over with a german suplex which he bridges for 1...2...KICKOUT!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Shaken by the fast pace of Mark Storm who rises to his feet and leans back against the ropes, a smile comes across his face as the fans applaud him.
CHARLES HUDSON: Ruby Lance is as talented as any of our champions and a fan favorite. Mark Storm has had his share of his troubles as of late but these two are looking for there footing here in Seattle Pro right now!
Once again, the two return to circling around the ring and Mark is calm and composed, whilst Ruby watches the veteran carefully. A standard collar to elbow lock up is engaged and the two jockey in position.
CHARLES HUDSON: Storm using his strength to push her back into the ropes.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: We were talking about this earlier today that it looks like Storm is the favorite here but Ruby Lance is no slouch. She's just new to Seattle Pro.
Storm breaks cleanly, backing away as Ruby runs towards him. Arm drag takedown by Storm, who locks her into a brief armbar before helping her up onto her feet. He pushes her hard against the turnbuckle and the referee intervenes. Storm breaks away, hesitating a strike before grinning and walking away once again, in his element. Ruby runs at him, Mark ducks underneath her arm and takes off to the ropes, bouncing off of them and having to leap over a grounded Ruby. Storm bounces off of the ropes, rolls underneath the arm of Ruby, rolls back, kips himself up, spins around with a kick to the abdomen of Ruby. She falls to her knee's and Storm heads to the ropes, bouncing off of them and attempting his coveted bicycle knee but she ducks out of the way.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: It shows the resiliency these two have as they match each other move for move and counter for counter.
CHARLES HUDSON: It's no secret that on each show Robb Daniels likes to book a fast paced match to kickoff the show.
Storm sends Ruby into the corner and her back hits hard against the turnbuckle! Storm charges in and Ruby just manages to throw a back elbow up that smacks off his face! She throws her legs up around his neck and swings out of the corner, flinging him across the ring with a hurricanrana! She catches him with a running clothesline before he's fully to his feet followed by a dropkick the second time he tries to get to his feet!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: That's an impressive standing dropkick by Ruby Lance!
CHARLES HUDSON: Lance has a friendship with Pride Champion, Scotty Latimer whom is a member of the Midnight Horsemen that has to be difficult for some to understand in the locker room.
He's rocked hard and it's evident as he struggles to remain on his feet. She brings him up to a straightened position and delivers a hard chop to the chest. Storm cringes and shuts his eyes tight. She delivers another, and another but at this stage, the chops are fueling energy into Storm. He's getting stronger. He blocks her attempt of another strike, before delivering a flurry of quick strikes himself.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: The SKYFIRE Champion is all fired up right now!
CHARLES HUDSON: Oh my...
He then delivers a forearm, shoot kick, open palm, spinning backfist, he goes for the discuss lariat - she ducks, and turns around - only to be met with a pele kick by Storm! He rises to his feet and she's now on her knee's again. He runs to the ropes, bouncing off of them and looks for a bicycle knee again, but she ducks and rolls him up with an inside cradle for 1…2…KICKOUT!
CHARLES HUDSON: Lance nearly stole the victory with an inside cradle...
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Did she though?
Running his fingers through his hair, Storm is shocked as he crawls over to the corner and uses the ropes to help himself up. Ruby runs towards him, Storm moves out of the way so that now Ruby is in the corner. He takes a couple of steps back, before running towards her, she rolls underneath his arm before running towards then ropes. She bounces off of them, ducks under a clothesline attempt, rear waist lock - Storm elbows his way out of it, she let's go, Storm turns around and looks for a super kick, she ducks, delivering a super kick of her own afterward! Storm stumbles back into the ropes...SUPERKICK TO RUBY! She stumbles back into the ropes... SUPERKICK! The two exchange a further two super kicks before both crumbling to the canvas simultaneously!
“THIS IS AWESOME!"
"THIS IS AWESOME!"
"THIS IS AWESOME!”
"THIS IS AWESOME!"
"THIS IS AWESOME!”
MCKAYLA LEWIS: The fans are loving this match!
CHARLES HUDSON: We have a superkick party here in Portland!
The two begin to brawl from their kneeling position, exchanging shots as they lean against each other - helping each other up onto their feet whilst still exchanging strikes.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: I wouldn't want to follow this match...
CHARLES HUDSON: These two have done there jobs tonight!
Storm scores with a spinning back kick that doubles over Lance. He hits the ropes and comes back with a handspring and a roundhouse kick aimed at her head but she ducks! Storm crashes and burns as Ruby bolts off the ropes, returning with a basement dropkick right to the face when he looks up! She rolls into a cover and hooks the leg only for 1…2…KICKOUT!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Ruby Lance leaving an impression tonight on these Seattle Pro fans in Portland.
CHARLES HUDSON: She's letting not opportunity slip away to end this match.
The two race to their feet with Storm throwing himself at Ruby with a hurricanrana, not able to grab her legs in time for the pin afterward. But she does remain down after the move. Allowing time for Mark to compose himself as he rises to his feet. She gradually rises and Storm takes off to the ropes, bouncing off of them and delivers one heck of a bicycle knee to the head of Ruby, who instantly falls to the canvas. He pulls her up onto her feet and positions her in a tombstone pile driver position, nailing her head onto the canvas making the cover for 1…2…NEARFALL!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Storm is trying to put her away with that Tombstone pile driver!
CHARLES HUDSON: I've seen people win a lot of matches with that move and some be injure with the event the slightest mis cue.
Irish whip sends Ruby to the ropes and she leaps onto the middle rope, springing off and twisting in mid-air to take Storm down with a cross body! He kicks out before the referee can get in position for the count and Ruby is already on the move! She hits the ropes and Storm's kick finds nothing but air as she baseball slides under! Lance pops up to her feet, catching him with a snap mare takedown when he turns around! She bolts off the ropes and scores with a sliding dropkick to the face making another cover for 1...2...NEARFALL!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: The arena is ecstatic, in disbelief by the amount of near falls!
CHARLES HUDSON: You have to believe that the longer this match goes on the more it plays into the favor of Mark Storm.
Storm is up by the corner and Ruby runs towards him. He lifts her up and onto the apron before delivering an enziguri kick that has her rocking a little bit. She's holding onto the ropes with her fingers! Storm runs to the opposite ropes, bouncing off of them and leaps over Ruby, amazingly, managing to come down and perform a sunset powerbomb on Ruby to the outside! She crashes on the outside and a team of medics are on the scene. Storm ushers them away and lifts Ruby back up onto her feet. On the outside, he Irish whips her into the guardrails before following her with a kick over the railing and into the fans. The referee's count captures his attention and he brings her over the railing and back into the ring.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: This match could only be won inside the ring.
CHARLES HUDSON: Mark Storm knows just how frustrating it is for a time limit to expire.
A gut wrench powerbomb from Storm is stalled as Lance unloads with shots to the face! He wobbles from the blows, stumbling into the turnbuckle where Ruby is dropped into a sitting position on the top rope. She delivers a hard boot to the face that knocks him back! Ruby climbs to the top rope and flies with a Thesz press that drives Storm down and Lance hooks the leg for 1...2...KICKOUT!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: If you're a fan of Ruby Lance you have to be proud of this performance thus far tonight.
CHARLES HUDSON: Storm is up and you can see he's tired but more so frustrated.
Your Hero and Mine scoops Ruby up across his shoulders for the Dystopia (GTS) but she battles back with a series of elbows upside the head! Storm stumbles and Ruby drops down his back to land on her feet. She spins Storm around, boots him in the midsection and hooks him up before leaving her feet with a Rose Thorn jumping Implant DDT that spikes him into the canvas! Ruby leaps into the cover hooking the leg for 1…2…KICKOUT!
CHARLES HUDSON: Ruby is in disbelief.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: So is everybody in the arena.
Mark Storm is crawling over to the ropes, using them to help himself up. She charges towards him and turns him around. He strikes her with a left, and a right, ducks under her arm, wrist clutch - spins her out - STORM STRIKE CONNECTS! He falls on top of her lifeless for 1…2…3!
GRAHAM STEVENS: Your winner is...MARK--STORM!
Storm gets to his feet and immediately the official grabs him by the wrist and raises his arm he turns looking around at the fans in attendance with a confused look. Ruby Lance rolls over pushing herself up to one knee and looks up at Storm.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: She has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of Charles. This was an amazing match and both looked like a million bucks!
Lance pushes herself up off one knee to her feet and while holding the back of her head she extends her right hand for a handshake. Storm looks down at her hand and slowly turns and exits the ring not turning back or looking slightly over his shoulder. His music continues playing as he walks up the aisle towards the curtain.
CHARLES HUDSON: This is so confusing Lou. We saw a similar reaction from Storm after losing the Emerald City Classic.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Storm is a major player in this business and maybe he's still disappointed from the loss last month. I don't know but he better figure it out soon. If he keeps turning his back on gracious opponent like Bryan Blaze and Ruby Lance then the fans may lose interest sooner rather than later.
Ruby Lance waves to the fans at ringside as she slowly makes her way up the aisle and toward the back as we take our first commercial break.
