MAINSTREAM WRESTLING IS LIVE FROM NEW YORK CITY AND WE’RE INSIDE THE HISTORIC MADISON SQUARE GARDEN FOR INCEPTION III!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Happy New Year and Welcome to Mainstream 100 and tonight is INCEPTION IV! Tonight Emma Douglas defends the Mainstream Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship against the winner of last summers Emerald City Classic, the 'Spaceman" Biggs.
CHARLES HUDSON: As a matter of fact, Samantha Kinsley is standing by with the Legacy Champion Biggs right now.
Samantha Kinsley is shown standing with Biggs in the interview area with a mic in hand.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, Biggs!
“The Spaceman” walks into frame to a somewhat mixed reaction, wearing a Tapp Addams Memorial T-Shirt. His fellow Smokin’ Aces are not present for the interview, and Biggs is noticeably somber.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Tonight, Biggs, you face Emma Douglas for the Mainstream World Heavyweight Championship. Not only is this your first crack at the Mainstream World Title in your two plus years as a member of the roster, but in the lead up, Emma Douglas has done all she can to try and make sure that you didn’t even make it here tonight. How are you feeling heading into tonight’s match?
BIGGS: Well, Ms. Kinsley, you are absolutely right that Emma Douglas has tried to take me out of action, but before I go any further into that, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the tragic passing of RM Tapp at Yamashi Promotions “War on Christmas” event from three weeks ago on Christmas Day. Now it’s no secret that Tapp and I had very different views when it came to self promotion, taking short cuts, and other things, but one thing you couldn’t deny was that the kid could flat out wrestle! After I defended the United States Championship against him at Mainstream 85, I knew for a fact that despite how he carried himself outside the ring, RM Tapp was a gosh darn legend in the making! I know that he and I weren’t particularly close, hell, we weren’t even friends, but knowing that we’ve been robbed of what he no doubt would have become, well it pisses me off that his death was completely preventable. So Tapp, wherever you are, I’d like to think you’d get a kick out of the fact that I ponied up a hundred bucks for one of your shirts after all my protesting, and I hope that you are at peace. I’m not so arrogant as to think that it’s appropriate for me to dedicate my World Heavyweight Championship match to you, but I will say that had the worst not happened, there’s no doubt in my mind that you would one day hold the title I am fighting for tonight. Good night and travel well, Tapp.
Biggs pauses for a moment to collect himself, and Kinsley gives him a pat on the back. Once he’s composed, he continues to speak.
BIGGS: As for Emma Douglas, tonight will be her reckoning. Through all the cheap shots, all the blindsides, all the dirty attacks to try and prevent me from being able to compete tonight, Emma, you didn’t finish the job! Listen, I get that your whole brand is being the Mayhem Mistress, doing whatever you damn well please, no matter whom it hurts. But that attitude has no place in the SPORT of professional wrestling! Yes, we are in a combat sport, but said combat should be in the ring. We are not human cock fighters, we aren’t bums fighting on the street for a sandwich, and we sure as hell aren’t fighting in a Glass House that isn’t structurally sound due to the promoter’s negligence! Look at what it says on the marquee, Mainstream Wrestling, emphasis on Wrestling! You know deep down in your heart that when it comes to wrestling, I am superior to you in technical skill, speed, high-flying, cardio, knowledge of submission holds & their corresponding escapes, and most of all confidence! Because even though you have been on an absolute tear since defeating Chris Madison for the Mainstream World Championship, the fact that you rely on so many extracurricular outside of the ring tells me that you aren’t nearly as confident as you’d like everyone to believe you to be! I’m beat up, banged up, and sore as hell, but I know that as soon as that bell rings, I have every advantage over you, because I have the courage and conviction to do things the right way! You’ve gotten some huge wins and put together an impressive title run. I cannot take that away from you. But I can take the World Heavyweight Championship from you, and in doing so, steal your aura of invincibility. I’ve waited over two years for tonight, and I’ll be damned to come this far and come up short tonight! Simply put, Emma Douglas, you are going to have to wrestle the match of your life to put me down tonight, and even then, that won’t be enough!
As he reaches that emotional high, Biggs storms off, ready to kick some ass. Samantha Kinsley turns to the camera.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Impassioned words from the challenger tonight. We’ll see who leaves Mainstream 100: Inception IV as the Mainstream World Heavyweight Champion later tonight!
CHARLES HUDSON: Biggs and Emma Douglas have been on a collision course for sometime now but first we have Team Madness putting the World Tag Team Championships on the line against Reagan Marek and Willow Dorn...the Valkyr!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: We're going to take the first break of the night but once we return we'll hear from Team Madness!
