FRIDAY - 08/16/2019
CINCINNATI, OHIO
EARLIER TONIGHT...
With about five minutes to go before the show gets underway, we find Idolution backstage here in the US Bank Arena, all geared up for action, looking confident and relaxed as they lean on an old Cincinnati Stingers logo painted on the wall.
CHRISTINA IDOL: ...so just stick to that, and we’ll have those divas right where we want ‘em, got it?
A.J. MORALES: You got it, güera linda.
CHRISTINA IDOL: You’re just calling me that so you can get out of driving us back to the hotel, aren’t you?
A.J. MORALES: What? No! I got you from the airport, I got you here...honestly, I don’t know how you still have the energy for this after the game today.
CHRISTINA IDOL: How could I not? I mean, just think about it…
Christina puts an arm around A.J.’s shoulder and starts using expressive gestures with her other hand as she talks.
CHRISTINA IDOL: ...we beat up Annie, Dom, and Caroline tonight—mostly Annie and Dom…
A.J. MORALES: Por supuesto...
CHRISTINA IDOL: ...then that gets us a rematch with the Tenacious Wrecking Crew…
A.J. MORALES: I like that…
CHRISTINA IDOL: And before they even know it, BAM! The whole world envies us again, ‘cause we’re two-time Seattle Pro Tag Team Champions!
A.J. MORALES: Not to mention, we’d be locks for the Hall of Fame. I mean, add in that first reign you had with Eli, and you’d be the first person to ever hold the same belt three times around here, wouldn’t you?
Idol’s eyes light up at the possibility.
CHRISTINA IDOL: Ooh, I didn’t even think of that!
Now it’s A.J. making hand gestures at the space in front of them as he imagines the future...
A.J. MORALES: And then maybe after that, I can get really ambitious and finally take the World Heavyweight title off of SILK--
? ? ?: I wouldn’t be so sure of that.
The two turn in the direction of the sound, separating a bit as they do so, and find Seattle Pro founder and owner Robb Daniels approaching them.
A.J. MORALES: Oh, hey, what’s up, Robb?
Robb steps up a little closer to A.J., who’s starting to realize this might not be as pleasant as their usual conversations...
ROBB DANIELS: A.J., let’s get one thing straight. You may be signed to Seattle Pro, but as long as you have those…
Robb points at A.J.’s NVR and SFW title belts, sitting in an X around his waist.
ROBB DANIELS: ...I don’t trust you. And if you want to be a champion in my company again, you need to show me you’re not going to be a free agent and run off with my gold.
A.J. opens his mouth to respond, but before he can say a word, Robb just walks off. A.J. and Christina watch him go, then turn to each other.
A.J. MORALES: What the hell is his problem?
CHRISTINA IDOL: Beats me.
Just in time, Eli Buchanan, wearing his dragon mask, walks by, giving his tag partners a nod as he goes. They see him and nod back, then turn to each other.
A.J. MORALES: Eli knows the plan, right?
CHRISTINA IDOL: I ran into him earlier and told him the whole thing. We got this.
Christina holds up her forearm, A.J. gives it a bash like he’s the Canseco to her McGwire, and they head off down the hall to back up their third man.

The bell sounds to start the match as it seems like A.J. Morales and Annie Zellor are going to start things off for their teams. They circle the ring for a few moments as the chants start up immediately; “Lets go A.J! Screw you Annie!” ringing out around the arena as A.J. and Annie start to grapple for position, and whatever instinct possessed Annie to try and chain-wrestle here, she realizes it was a bad idea to act on it as soon as he pulls her up and in for a fireman’s carry. Once he’s got her there, he dumps her onto his knee with an ushigoroshi—never a good move for her to get hit with, considering her injury history. With Zellor dazed, Morales is able to easily pull her in again, this time for a release exploder suplex. The Revolution rises to his feet, raising his fist to get the crowd going, and he runs the ropes as Zellor gets up until he has just the right timing and angle to—OHHHH! He absolutely SPIKES her with a dragonrana, straight from his co-XWA tag champ Minka Carter’s playbook! He goes right for the cover...1!...2!...NEARFALL!
A.J. grabs Annie by the head as he lifts her back to a vertical base. Heading towards the corner, he slams her head first into the top turnbuckle, and the tag champion slumps back into the corner. A few chops light up Annie’s chest, and she howls in pain with each stinging blow, before he goes for an Irish whip. Zellor is sent from pillar to post, but she flips up over the far turnbuckle and lands on the apron! A few of the fans “ooh” in appreciation of the athleticism as Zellor struts across the apron - only for Morales to charge at her!
Annie lowballs him, however, pulling down the top rope, and Morales tumbles all the way to the outside! With her arms stretched out across the top rope, Annie smirks out across the crowd - who all boo in response as Annie waits for A.J. to get back to his feet; she takes a run up and soon brings A.J. crashing to the cold hard floor with a meteora off the apron!
Zellor pops back to her feet and rolls into the ring; she makes a beeline for her opponents in the corner, taunting them by offering her cheek up for Idol to slap— and the referee has to intervene to stop a brawl from breaking out! That, unfortunately, only serves as a distraction for Harter and Clarke to take advantage of; they drop off the apron and put the boots to A.J. on the outside, before Dom finally rolls him back into the ring. A lazy count by Annie ensues. 1...2...KICKOUT! And she then makes the tag out to Harter.
Dom enters the ring and kicks at Morales, asking if “you dead?”. It draws some boos from the crowd, but it soon backfires as A.J. starts to fight back. Some punches to the gut force Dom to back off as he lifts his opponent to a vertical base, then Morales grabs Dom and doubles him over with a knee to the midsection. Hooking the arm and grabbing his opponent by the waist band, A.J. looks for a snap suplex - but Dom plants his feet and blocks the move. A.J. tries again, only to have Dom land some body shots to the ribs. And they’re enough to force a break, before Dom counters, dropping A.J. across the top rope with a gourdbuster!
Harter takes a moment to wipe the sweat from his brow after escaping that sticky situation, as A.J. bounces off the rope and back into the ring. Harter brings him back to his feet though, and sends him crashing back into the Tenacious Wrecking Crew corner with some shoulder thrusts to the gut. He makes the tag out to Zellor, who takes a run up and hits a running double knee strike to A.J. in the corner! She then makes the tag out to Clarke, who does the same; a running double knee strike by Clarke connects, and A.J. slumps to a seated position in the corner as Dom gets the tag back in.
Harter stands over his dazed opponent, and the Fratboy Assassin shakes his ass, slapping both cheeks as he seems to be setting up for the stinkface— only for Annie Zellor to shout from the apron, telling Dom not to steal her move! The argument is brief before Dom relents, and instead opts to run against the ropes for momentum, before he drills A.J. with a facewash! But it’s not enough for Harter. He wants to inflict more punishment on The Revolution.
Bringing A.J. to the center of the ring, Harter hoists him up onto his shoulders-- but Morales slides down the back. Harter spins around to see his opponent, and still has the wherewithal to catch the toe kick attempt, before wagging his finger in A.J’s face-- before he eats the enziguiri! The crowd pop in delight as Dom’s eyes roll back in his head, and he drops to the mat! And all A.J. has to do is make the tag out…
In comes Eli Buchanan! Straight off the bat, Eli whips Dom into the ropes and catches him with an exploder suplex! The Tenacious Little Bastard bounces off the mat, holding his back in pain as his fellow Canadian grabs him by the hair to pull him to his feet. Dom shoves him away and swings with an errant haymaker, but Eli ducks and grabs him around the waist. Harter flails his arms, but Buchanan lifts him up and takes him down with a bridging German suplex! 1...2...Clarke makes the save! The referee ushers her out of the ring as Eli brings his opponent back to a vertical base.
Buchanan has Dom in the center of the ring as he throws out some knife edge chops to the chest. Harter braces for impact each time, but every shot stings a little bit more, until Eli doubles him over with a knee strike to the gut. Harter falls to one knee in the center of the ring as Eli runs back against the ropes for momentum— only to get a knee to the back for his trouble!
Zellor laughs it off, but her enjoyment is short lived as Eli turns around and knocks her off the apron with a hard forearm shot to the face! Clarke suffers a similar fate, and Eli is pumped up as he turns back around to face the legal man— only to eat a bicycle knee strike to the face!
It’s enough to send Eli staggering backwards and tumbling out through the middle ropes, onto the apron. Buchanan grips tightly onto the top rope to save himself, using it to bring himself back to a vertical base again. But Harter is already on the move. He runs towards the perpendicular ropes, springboarding off the middle rope for a triangle dropkick that sends Buchanan flying off the apron! The crowd boo again as Harter kips up to his feet and proclaims himself the “best high flyer in Seattle Pro!” Much to the bemusement of A.J. Morales on the far side of the ring. On the outside, Caroline slams Eli’s head into the apron before rolling him back into the ring.
Harter wants no more of The Ginger Dragon though, and makes the tag out to Caroline Clarke. The Prodigal Daughter enters the ring and stomps at Eli to wear him down, before bringing him up to his feet for a reverse DDT. Caroline then climbs to the top rope, but she takes her time about it, thinking Buchanan would stay down. That’s not the case though! And Eli cuts her off, shaking the rope and crotching her on the top rope! Wearily, Eli takes several steps back as he tries to catch his breath, before he rushes in. He steps on the second rope and delivers a devastating knee shot to Caroline’s chin!
Clarke falls from the turnbuckle, flipping through the air as she lands in the ring. But Eli isn’t about to let up. He grabs Caroline with a rear waist lock, using it to being her back to her feet, before he hits a German suplex. Holding onto his grip he slowly pulls Caroline to her feet and delivers a second German suplex with a bridge. And the cover! 1…2...Zellor makes the save! The referee has to usher her from the ring, but Annie speeds up as she spots Christina Idol get the tag in.
Idol enters the ring and moves towards Zellor on the apron, asking her to come into the ring now. But Zellor assures her that Caroline has this one. And Idol may have taken her eyes off her off her opponent for a moment too long as Clarke catches her from behind with a high knee strike. Down goes Idol, and Caroline looks pleased with herself.
But Caroline gets distracted taunting the fans, and that leaves her wide open for a—LARIATOOOOOO! Christina runs up and absolutely lays her out from behind! She stays focused on her target as she stays low and strafes around, looking for the chance to hit Clarke head-on, and when she reaches his feet, she runs up and...BOOM! A devastating spear! This would have an NFL referee throwing flags, but here, the ref just drops down as Idol goes for the cover...1!...2!...NEARFALL!
That doesn’t slow Idol’s roll in the slightest, as she pulls Caroline Clarke in by the neck, lifts her up...SLAM! She drops her right on her head with the Impaler! Is it enough?...1!...2!...SHE GETS THE SHOULDER UP!
Christi can't believe it wasn't enough!
Moments later, and Idol has her opponent back on her feet as she sets Clarke up for an Irish whip. She doesn’t spot the blind tag in from Harter though, as Christina takes Caroline down with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, before Dom blindsides her with a charging forearm strike to the back! Dom stomps at the prone Idol, working over her legs, arms, and torso; the crowd booing the Tenacious Little Bastard as poses over his opponent with his arms outstretched. But pride comes before the fall...Harter tries to bring Christina back to her feet, only to get taken down by a fireman’s carry.
Harter scrambles to get back to his feet, but Christina catches him with a European uppercut as she gets back to a vertical base. And another. She tries for a clothesline, but Dom ducks under her arm and runs against the ropes for some momentum. He rebounds, but Christina is ready for him and tosses him over the top rope— but only as far as the apron! The crowd try to warn her that she didn’t finish the job, but it’s no use; Idol turns around and gets dropped across the top rope with a guillotine!
She staggers backwards, clutching at her throat as Dom steadies himself on the apron, before leaping in with the Cutter Boi (slingshot cutter)! Idol is driven face first into the mat, and Harter just sits up with that shit-eating grin on his face as the crowd continues to boo his efforts.
Harter stomps his foe again before bringing Christina back to her feet. He lands a European uppercut, but Christina fires one right back! So Harter lands a forearm shot, only for Idol to fire one of those right back as well! And another. And another! Christina pulls the Canadian into an old-fashioned hockey-fight, proving the more successful of the two at it in the moment before she brings Dom down to the canvas with a snapmare. She follows up with a sleeper hold, but when she remembers what happened last time she tried that, she decides to change tactics and switch to an MMA-style ground-and-pound, which she keeps up until the referee finally gets involved and separates Idol from Harter—but it doesn’t stop the trash talk, as the two exchange pointed insults the whole way. Once the two are back to their feet, Dom tries for one of his patented lariats, but Christina is able to dance around it and—POW! Club him in the back of the head with a spinning back elbow! Dom staggers forward, leaving himself wide open for a dropkick that sends him into the corner, where he bounces off the turnbuckles and lands face-up on the mat. Idol steps over him before climbing to the top rope, facing the crowd and hyping them up as she prepares for something big…WOW! What a moonsault! It’s more graceful than the one Dom used to pin her for the tag titles, but will it be enough?...1!...2!...NO! Dom gets his foot on the ropes!
Frustrated, Christina answers her partner’s calls, and in comes A.J. Morales again. He psyches himself up as he taunts Dom, demanding he gets back to his feet. As he does so, A.J. knocks him down with a flying forearm! But Dom gets right back to his feet and charges at his opponent, right into a dropkick! Both men scramble to get back to their feet, but A.J. gets there first and he’s waiting for Dom to charge back in. So when Dom does, Morales runs up to meet him with—BOOM! They both throw lariats at the same time, effectively cancelling each other out! The two stare each other down for a second, then double back to the ropes, come back—BOOM! Another draw with the lariats! The frustration starts to seep in...they run the ropes one more time, and Dom tries for a third lariat, but this time, A.J. stops and ducks under it, grabs Dom by the wrist, pulls himself up so he can use his legs to trap Dom’s other arm...WHAM! Morales pulls a new trick out of his bag and hits a crucifix bomb! He’s got Dom’s shoulders down for the cover…1!...2!...Zellor breaks it up!
All hell breaks loose for a moment as all six competitors enter the ring, trying to get a piece of each other. Morales getting stomped by both Zellor and Clarke, before Idol and Buchanan take them off to one side. But the referee quickly regains control of the contest, before Annie and Eli get the tags from their respective partners. The pair brawl for a moment, before Eli gains the upper hand over his smaller opponent. It isn’t long, however, before Eli grabs Annie in a rear waistlock and he folds her up with a German suplex, much to the delight of the fans! Climbing to his feet, Eli waits for Annie to get up, taunting her, beckoning her to do so before he charges in with a lariat--NO! Annie ducks, but Eli slams on the brakes and clubs her across the back of the head with a lariat!
He doesn’t get to go for the pin attempt, though, as Dom runs into the ring to help his partner. A lariat attempt by Harter is ducked, and Eli grabs him from behind in a full-nelson. You can see the look of panic on Dom’s face as he tries to escape, but it’s no use! Eli transitions it into a Dragon Suplex and Harter bails from the ring!
On the other side of the ring, however, Annie is back on her feet after using the ropes. Buchanan runs in and hits a clothesline, sending Zellor out over the top rope and all the way to the outside as he looks out across the crowd. He heads back across the ring, hitting the far ropes for momentum before looking for a suicide dive— NO! Clarke intercepts him mid-leap with a knee to the face, cutting off all momentum! The fans boo as Buchanan falls back into the ring, giving Zellor time to recover on the outside.
She climbs back up onto the apron, and all the way to the top rope as Eli is on all fours in the ring. Zellor leaps off with a guillotine leg drop, coming down across the back of Buchanan’s head and neck! She rolls him over and performs a lazy cover. 1...2...NO! Eli powers out, throwing Annie a few feet away in the process. She looks almost offended at the action, and sits Buchanan back up before hitting a couple of soccer kicks to the spine. He yells in pain, but stays sitting upright as Annie runs against the ropes for a running dropkick to the face! And another pin attempt by Zellor. 1...2...NO!
Again, Eli powers out. And, again, Annie looks annoyed by him. Zellor brings her opponent up to his knees and slaps him— and now it’s Eli’s turn to look annoyed! He glares at the Tenacious Li’l Bitch, who soon realizes her mistake as Buchanan starts firing off forearm shots to the face. He backs her against the ropes before going for an Irish whip, but Zellor ducks under the arm as Eli goes for a lariat, and she keeps on running. She hits the far ropes and comes back, wrapping herself around Buchanan as she twirls and drives him head first into the mat with All That Glitters (satellite DDT)!
She can’t make the cover though. Instead it looks like Annie is going to make the tag out-- or she would if A.J. and Christina didn’t drag her partners off the apron. A small four person brawl breaks out on the outside as A.J. and Dom square off, as do Christina and Caroline. Back in the ring, however, Zellor has taken her eyes off her opponent for a moment too long. She turns back around to face Buchanan, and he drills her with a Yakuza kick! He brings her back to her feet and whips her against the ropes, whereupon Eli back body drops Annie over the top rope, only for her partners to help break her fall! In the ring, though, Eli looks around before pointing to the ropes. He runs the ropes, rebounding off them at speed as he charges forward, taking out all three opponents with a suicide dive.
Buchanan and his teammates are standing tall as their opponents regather themselves on the outside. Clarke gets the tag in from Annie, and Eli makes the tag out to A.J. as the legal competitors enter the ring. Morales comes in hot from a boxing stance, overwhelming Clarke with a flurry of punches to the head and torso. The onslaught drives Caroline all the way to the corner, where the referee has to step in and break the two up. At first, it seems like this will go without incident...but then Clarke tries to surprise Morales out of the corner, Morales reacts, and—BAM! The two trade superkicks at almost the exact same time! Morales falls backwards onto the mat, but his F#qkin’ Slayerrrr ensures Caroline goes tumbling out of the ring through the ropes!
Once A.J. realizes where he and his opponent have ended up, he rolls out under the bottom rope to retrieve Clarke. But rather than throw him back in the ring, Morales grabs her by the arm and—CRASH! Irish whips Clarke right into the steel stairs! She hits them back-first, sitting down against them as she feels the sting, but Morales isn’t about to let up. Maybe it’s because of what Robb said to him earlier, maybe it’s because of how that world title match in Kansas City went down, but either way, A.J. unleashes like a jaguar catching its prey, throwing shoot kick after shoot kick to Clarke’s chest, and with Caroline leaning on those steel steps, every shot gets amplified with noise—BANG! BANG! BANG!—and extra damage until the top half of the steps finally slides of the bottom half. Clarke leans back, looking dazed, and Morales steps away with a fire in his eyes, taking a few high-fives from the fans at ringside before he slides back into the ring and waits to see if Caroline will beat the 20-count.
She does so, but cuts it close, before making the tag out to Zellor again. Annie steps into the ring, and Morales on the other side of the squared circle is met by calls from his tag team partner, practically demanding to be tagged in. And sure enough, Christina Idol gets the tag and the two women square off in the center of the ring! The fans on their feet as Annie and Christina begin trading blows. It’s not long before Annie is reeling though, as Christina has her on the ropes. The forearm shots come thick and fast as Idol vents some of that pent up aggression - and who can blame her?! An Irish whip follows and Annie is sent across the ring; she rebounds off the far ropes and comes back, into a side slam...attempt— Annie gets her legs up to counter with a headscissors takedown, only to see Christina cartwheel out of danger.
Both women stand back up and stare at each other for a moment. A look of fright on Annie’s face as she realizes that one didn’t work! Idol knocks her down with a clothesline, but Zellor gets back up, only to get knocked right back down by another clothesline! Zellor gets back to her feet again, but she’s staggering. Idol grabs her by the arm and sends her against the ropes with another Irish whip - but Zellor has it scouted! She holds onto the ropes as Christina’s attempted dropkick backfires, and she hits the mat.
Annie takes a moment to measure up as Christina pushes herself back to her feet - only to find herself on the receiving end of a kick combination; Zellor peppers her opponent with kicks to the legs and torso, before going high with a roundhouse! Idol spins on the spot, and Zellor grabs her from behind for a ripcord discus elbow that knocks Christina down to one knee! With her opponent reeling, Annie leans in and whispers “this is from Coral…” before she takes a run up. Idol pushes herself to a vertical base, albeit doubled over, as Zellor hops on her back for a leg trap sunset flip powerbomb! And the cover! 1...2...NO! Buchanan makes the save for his team.
Annie flips him off, giving Eli and A.J. some lip before she goes to the top rope, looking to try and keep the momentum rolling. But just as she starts her jump and commits to attempting a diving stomp, Christina kips up to her feet and steps into position for—YEOWCH! Idol counters with an inverted atomic drop, and Zellor crumples to the mat in pain! But Christina’s not done punishing Annie here, not after what went down between them in Kansas City. Idol quickly grabs Zellor by the ankles to pull her into position for—WHAM! Hot damn, what an Alabama slam! Zellor looks absolutely rattled, and she can’t offer an ounce of resistance as Idol lands a kneedrop right about where the atomic drop connected. From that dose of karma, Idol rolls forward and wrangles the Staten Islander into the Rings of Saturn! Annie’s caught dead to rights, and if this were a singles match, she’d probably need to tap soon. But since this is trios action, Caroline is able to climb into the ring, jump on top of the submission to break it up, and roll out again as the referee admonishes her.
Clarke leaves the ring, but not before stomping at Idol a few times. The former tag champion staring a hole through the Prodigal Daughter before she turns her attention back to her current opponent. And right now Christina has her opponent right where she wants her; Annie is staggering as she uses the ropes to get back to her feet, and she walks back into the waiting arms of Idol, who brings her down with a dragon suplex! Zellor gets folded up like an accordion, and the fans are their feet cheering as Idol points to the top rope. She starts to climb, stepping out onto the apron first before she heads towards the top…
But she’s taken too long! Harter is in the ring and he scales the turnbuckle surprisingly quickly for a man his size, before bringing Christina crashing to the mat with a superplex! That’s enough to raise the ire or A.J. Morales, who storms the ring and makes a beeline for Dom! The two trade blows back and forth in the center of the ring, before A.J. ducks under an errant blow and runs against the ropes. He comes back with the Liberator (Superman Punch) that knocks Dom down!
But A.J. doesn’t get to enjoy the moment for too long, as Caroline Clarke leaps into the ring with a Phenomenal Forearm! Down goes A.J. Morales, but in comes Eli Buchanan, and he has Caroline in his sights. She turns around just in time for Eli to charge in with a Yakuza kick, and down goes Clarke! She gets folded up, but rolls through to a kneeling position as Eli runs in again, this time connecting with Thunderstruck (Boma Ye)!
Clarke rolls out under the bottom rope, and Eli leans through the ropes to taunt her for a moment— but it’s a moment too long! Annie has managed to recover somewhat, and she’s seen the opening as she flies in with the Rough ‘n’ Tumble (Tiger Feint Kick) to Eli Buchanan! He goes down and rolls away as Zellor goes after him, only to get caught by Christina Idol— the spinning back elbow connects, but still Zellor stays on her feet as Idol unleashes a flurry of shots, before finally taking the brat down with an Alabama slam! But she’s not done. Not yet. Not by a long shot! Idol drags Annie back to her feet, and positions her in a standing headscissors for a moment, before hoisting Zellor up into a powerbomb position— NO! Annie with a well placed thumb to the eye, and she quickly counters into a rana pin! 1...The referee doesn’t notice Zellor grab the ropes...2...3!
A.J. grabs Annie by the head as he lifts her back to a vertical base.
