CONFLICT IS LIVE FROM DENVER, COLORADO INSIDE THE PEPSI CENTER...THE HOME OF THE DENVER NUGGETS!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Welcome Everyone to CONFLICT! Let’s roll some footage from earlier regarding tonight’s opening bout.
Seattle Pro Tag Champion and former NVR RIZE Champion Sean Isaac Leonard Kennedy, better known as SILK walking alongside Seattle Pro newcomer Amira Kassouri whose become one of the hottest pickups Seattle Pro has made thanks to her incredible resume. SILK looks as if he’s showing her around backstage at her first Seattle Pro event. They start off by walking up to the catering table.
SILK: And this is where whether you win or get beat, you can come to eat. Though, most of the people no one gives a damn about can be seen her constantly roaming about.
SILK winks at Amira, knowing damn well that she’s the next big thing in Seattle Pro and not some jabroni who’ll be standing by the cold cuts all show due to a lack of booking and interest.
AMIRA KASSOURI: Hmm…
With narrowed eyes, AK-47 surveys her surroundings. She runs one finger along the table, eyeing the selection of nibbles.
AMIRA KASSOURI: Could be worse.
It’s not quite the 5 star luxury of Dubai but it’s not the cheap candy bars of Scotland either. She shrugs her shoulders, pops a halloumi bite into her mouth and turns to SILK with her eyebrows raised and a coy smile.
SILK: Aiight, follow me Queen, let me show you where your dressing room is and all of the amenities Seattle Pro has to offer on the way!
SILK signals with his hand for Amira to follow and she complies. The two begin walking down the hallway as they pass a few employees on the way.
AMIRA KASSOURI: So, tell me about the roster - anyone I need to watch out for?
She gives a courteous nod towards the passing staff.
SILK: Well, the guy you’re facing tonight, Billy Danielson, claims to be leading a new, less exciting version of the Dogs of War, so I imagine they’ll be running in a pack considering they can’t get much done themselves.
As he finishes, the corners of Amira’s mouth curls upwards again, head cocked to the side.
AMIRA KASSOURI: I’m glad someone has my back then.
He nods with his own smile before continuing with his assessment.
SILK: Jason Cashe is a crazy motherer, Ryan Henderson is just a flat out asshole and there was this whole Killswitch movement but once Hammerstein took a leave, someone flipped off that switch it seems.
SILK gives a chuckle to himself at that jab as the two continue on until Seattle Pro backstage reporter Samantha Kinsley comes across the pair.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Sean, Amira, how good to see you both, any chance I can get a word in from either of you?
SILK looks to Amira.
SILK: You’re the new beautiful lady around here, your call girl.
Grinning, she gives SILK a playful nudge then looks to the backstage reporter with a nod.
AMIRA KASSOURI: Sure, Samantha. Fire away.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Thanks, I think I speak for a lot of fans when saying it would be great to have your thoughts on signing with Seattle Pro? What are your plans here?
The newcomer takes a moment to respond, wetting her lips and glancing at SILK.
AMIRA KASSOURI: The same plans I have whenever I join a promotion - dominate. I’ve already won championships in Europe, the Middle East, my resumé speaks for itself. But despite everything, I’m still #BreakingAmerica, you know? I’m still trying to make it BIG in the US.
She stops again, a smirk widening.
AMIRA KASSOURI: I mean, this is where the money’s at, right? My hair and makeup ain’t cheap but I heard about the win bonus in the Seattle main event. Maybe SILK can confirm the specifics...
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Aha! You two do seem fairly “close”...
Amira raises an eyebrow.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: If you don’t mind me asking, how did that come about?
AMIRA KASSOURI: Talent attracts talent. I don’t know, you’d have to be blind not to notice it right here.
She laughs, enjoying the idle boasts but self-aware enough to realise she has a lot to prove.
SILK: Samantha, don’t be a jealous fool that Amira makes all the fellas drool. Fact of the matter is, I ain’t seen anyone as beautiful outside of the ring that puts on just as beautiful of a display inside the ring like Amira when she does her thing.
SILK glances at Amira, flashing her his signature wink as it’s clear his eyes glimmer when he looks at her.
SILK: Now, if you don’t mind Ms. Kinsley, we’re through, we both got matches to prep for and some explorin’ to do.
Samantha nods as the two move on from her and continue on down the hallway.
AMIRA KASSOURI: You know… after we win our matches tonight, you’ll have to show me round Seattle.
She glances down at her Kevin Durant OKC jersey and giggles.
AMIRA KASSOURI: I’ll wear something else though.
SILK has a grin from ear to ear.
SILK: C’mon girl, not only do you look fly, I think that would be classic to see the looks in the eyes of all those around us in the club, no lie. You gonna draw more heat than the sun.
SILK laughs, smiling at Amira once more like it’s the only thing possible when he looks at her. They come to a brown door that looks a bit more enforced than all of the others they passed. SILK opens it up and the two poke their heads in.
SILK: Another word of advice, avoid boiler rooms, I think that bumbaclot Jimmy Pagan be roamin’ around down there.
There is a concerned expression across her face as she quints through the darkness.
AMIRA KASSOURI: Ew… did he get evicted from his one room flat or something?
She takes a step backwards, nose turned up at the thought.
SILK: If you saw this fool, it’s clear he either used to live under a bridge or in Marilyn Manson’s garage.
AMIRA KASSOURI: Sounds like I’d smell him before I saw him.
SILK shuts the door as the two continue on with their backstage trek.
SILK: So, what's goody? You down to light this city on fire after we pick up those W’s? After all, I intend to be a Double Champion again after I dethrone Latimer for that World Championship tonight and your impending first win in Seattle Pro is more than reason enough already.
AMIRA KASSOURI: Yeah, course I’m down! I wanna celebrate with cocktails. Lots and lots of cocktails.
She sighs at such a heavenly thought. Amira is possibly an alcoholic.
AMIRA KASSOURI: Hell, even if I lose, I’m going out to drown my sorrows.
The newcomer stops abruptly, grabbing hold of SILK’s arm.
AMIRA KASSOURI: But I ain’t losing.
With another grin, she gestures for them to carry on their tour.
SILK: That makes two of us beautiful.
They come to a door which had a star on it that dons Amira’s name, indicating they’ve come to their final destination; her dressing room.
SILK: Here we are lovely. I guess, we reconvene here after we get our wins out there?
Again, SILK flashes a wink, this one more playful than the first.
AMIRA KASSOURI: Yeah, thanks for showing me round. I’ll see you later - with the title belt.
With a sweet smile, she waves SILK off and slowly closes the door to her private dressing room.
PRIDE GRAND PRIX
★★★ TRIXIE ★★★
★★★ XANDER JONES ★★★
★★★ TRIXIE ★★★
★★★ XANDER JONES ★★★
The bell sounds with Xander Jones taking control early on and Trixie takes a couple of roundhouse kicks from Jones and ends up on the ring ropes holding her abdomen. Jones whips her from the ropes to the other side of the ring and Jones runs back into the ropes to try and spear Trixie. Trixie takes a vault to roll over Jones's back and then does a matrix style dodge to avoid Jones's clothesline in order to be in close range for a quick kick to the gut and does her split legged stunner to Jones with a slow clap, jaw dropped fans nodding at ringside.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Xander Jones has been a standout in Napa Valley and is considered viable threat to become Heavyweight Champion some day!
CHARLES HUDSON: Trixie has been here in the big leagues for the better part of the year and she consistently impressed with each performance.
Trixie runs back into Jones who gets around Trixie, almost locking in a rear naked choke. Trixie slinks down and escapes the hold to try and pin Jones by pulling him over onto his shoulders only for Jones to handstand onto his feet and measures Trixie for a DDT but Trixie pushes Jones into the ropes so she can try her Beautiful Disaster -RKO, but Jones pushes her into the ropes. Trixie escapes the exploder suplex with a quick sexy makeover split legged face buster and catches Jones with a super kick series. One to the inside of the knee, one to the kidney and then one to the side of the cranium.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Trixie is making this look like another day at the office and proving why she’s one half of the Tag Team Champions and looking for a shot at the Pride Championship as well!
Trixie sizes up Xander Jones and casually reminds him of her open hand slap while Xander gives Trixie a shove to some boos and instead she punches her own fist to pump up the crowd. Trixie balls up her fist and takes a swing but Xander ducks it and goes for his pele kick. Trixie backs up to get out of his range, then runs past Xander to bounce off the rope and hits her shining apprentice early and makes the cover for 1...2...NEARFALL!
CHARLES HUDSON: It was nearly over! I could hear the bell ringing in my head, I just knew that Trixie was advancing right now!
Trixie gives the fans a smile as she personally leads the fans to cheerlead. She builds up with them, watching Xander slowly get back to his feet and blows on her open hand before leaning back to connect with the Hardest Slap Ever! Denver fans are holding their cheeks horrified as Trixie shakes out her hand and then bounces off the ropes to jump into the air and hit her Sexy Split Legged Leg Drop and makes the cover for 1...2...3!
GRAHAM STEVENS: Your winner by pin fall and advancing to the next round of the Pride Grand Prix...TRIXIE!
Trixie pushes herself up to a single knee and back rolls out of the ring foregoing the standard raised arm for the victor. Instead she joins Mariano Fernandez at the top of the ramp to celebrate.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: I guess you were right Charles. You called it before the match with Trixie.
CHARLES HUDSON: I told you all—I told the World. I’m sticking with my pick...Trixie for Double Champ!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: This was a very good match but we have a lot of action still ahead tonight. Let’s take a commercial break and come back for the second Pride Grand Prix Match with Amira Kassouri versus Billy Danielson!
