MCKAYLA LEWIS: Let’s go backstage to Samantha Kinsley with a special interview with The Seattle Pro Heavyweight Champion Jacob Hammerstein. Take it away, Samantha.
The feed switches to the KILLSWITCH locker room where Samantha stands, looking somewhat displeased with her surroundings. She is flanked by Hammerstein and his manager, Reese Kennedy.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Thanks, McKayla. I'm here with…
Kennedy gently puts his hand under Kinsley’s wrist, guiding the microphone to him.
REESE KENNEDY: Sam, may I call you Sam?
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: I'd prefer…
REESE KENNEDY: Sam it is, then. Sam, my client, YOUR Seattle Pro Heavyweight Champion, Jacob Hammerstein, is a law abiding citizen. He respects and supports the good and honest members of the law enforcement community. So that’s why it shocks, nay appalls, us that a felony has gone uninvestigated and unpunished.
“My client was a victim of Grand Larceny when Robb Daniels stole his Seattle Pro Heavyweight Championship title belt after their brutal, violent match at Hard Rock is Dead. With no regard for his own company’s laws and with malice of forethought, Mr. Daniels stole the title that my client won fairly and honorably, while he lay unconscious and bleeding on the hot Las Vegas concrete.”
“Now had it been a member of KILLSWITCH did this to say, AJ Knight, or say, Trixie, Daniels would take swift and decisive action.”
“But you see, that wouldn't happen, because every member of KILLSWITCH is of high moral fiber and virtue.”
“Now, Mr. Daniels, you said, not long after your heinous act, that should my client successfully defend the Seattle Pro Heavyweight Championship tonight, you will put the belt around his waist.”
“And then you signed Cory Chevelle as his opponent. Cory Chevelle, who, though his credentials and resume are impressive, has done nothing to warrant a title shot. Nothing, that is, except be your friend.”
“Mr. Daniels, if you think that Mr. Chevelle will win you the right to get away with your criminal actions, you, sir, have another thing coming.”
“Because to quote the movie, The Punisher:”
“In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue….natural justice.”
“This is what you have pushed my client to, Mr. Daniels.”
“My client is going to come out of this match the victor. And you, Mr. Daniels, will have a choice. Honor your word as a man and as the leader of this company, and install the Seattle Pro Heavyweight Championship belt on my client.”
“Or, you can go back on your word, like you did when Mr. Hammerstein won the title, which will only bring more shame and dishonor to the Daniels name and to this company.”
“The choice, Mr. Daniels is yours.”
Hammerstein and Kennedy turn to walk away, but Kinsley reaches out and touches his arm in an attempt to stop him.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Hammerstein, I was hoping to get some comments from you.
Hammerstein shoots Samantha a look of disdain, then looks down at her hand on his arm. Kinsley quickly yanks her arm back.
JACOB HAMMERSTEIN: You want some comments?
Okay.
“Cory Chevelle, the last time a Silverback made the news, his name was Harambe, and things didn't turn out so good for him.”
“But what I'm gonna do to you tonight is gonna make what happened to Harambe look like a damn mercy killing.”
“And Robb Daniels, after I get done taking down another one of your hired guns, you better honor your word and put the title on me. If you don't, then I swear to , I'll throw your ass off the top of the Wells Fargo Center.”
“C’mon, Reese.”
Hammerstein storms off, Kennedy right behind him.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: McKayla, Charles, back to you guys.
