Seth Gile vs Derrick LaBell
The bell sounds and the match begins. The two heavy hitters circle each other, Derrick fakes the collar and elbow tie up, and lands a stiff kicks on the leg of Gile. Seth backs up, and shoots around for La’Bell, but Derrick wiggles out, before Seth could lock his arms together. Derrick goes for a jab at Seth, but Seth counters by grabbing La’Bell’s wrist, putting him in a wrist lock. Seth Gile Continues to twist his opponent’s arm, almost bringing him down to a knee. La’bell spins through the wrist lock, and tries to hit Gile with a back body drop, but Seth lands on his feet.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Tonight Seattle Promo makes its first visit to Los Angeles with all the championships on the line!
CHARLES HUDSON: These two men are looking to make an impact and earn a shot at one of the championships that are being defended tonight.
Seth Gile and Derrick La’Bell turn towards each other, and they lock up in the collar and elbow tie up. Seth Gile quickly puts Derrick in a side-headlock. La’Bell tries to counter, looking for a back suplex, but Gile turns it into an arm drag, launching Derrick across the ring. Derrick gets up, but his opponent rushes over to him, and slams him back down with a snap suplex.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Seth Gile has put the former MMA star flat on his back!
CHARLES HUDSON: Talk about chain wrestling at its finest.
Gile stomps around the ring, as Derrick kips up to his feet. As Gile turns around, he is met with a giant running shoulder tackle, flipping him in the process. As Seth rolls on his stomach, Derrick drops to the mat, and grabs his opponent around the waist. La’Bell tries to ragdoll his smaller opponent, but Gile uses his technical prowess to keep himself where he is. Derrick mounts Gile from the back, and starts to land some vicious elbow strikes on his neck, back, and back head.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Derrick LaBell has competed for Seattle Pro before but he’s still looking for his signature win.
Seth scrambles, looking to get out of the MMA Stars’ mount, and eventually makes his way out. Seth stumbles, as Derrick rises to his feet, stalking his opponent. La’bell goes for a Lariat, but Gile ducks the attack. Seth hits the ropes, and hits a stiff boot to the face. Derrick hits the mat hard, as Seth Giles goes for the covers for 1...2...KICKOUT!
CHARLES HUDSON: WOW! What a kick to the face by Seth Gile!
As Derrick kicks out, Seth gets to his feet, and pulls Derrick up by his ears. Gile looks for a suplex, but the power of La’Bell allows him to counter with a massive vertical suplex, that takes both men into the air, before they both hit the ground. Seth bounces, as he grabs his back. Derrick, however, gets up to his feet instantly. Derrick lands a running knee drop on Seth, with his knee landing right on the noses of his opponent. Seth pops up from the pain, and as he turns around, he eats a decapitating discus lariat from Derrick La’Bell. Derrick goes for the pin, and the referee counts 1...2...KICKOUT!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: He’s bringing that fierceness you must have when fighting inside the octagon.
CHARLES HUDSON: LaBell looks like he’s trying his best to knock him out in the first round of a UFC fight.
La’Bell slaps the mat, for he was sure he had Seth put away. He grabs Seth by the neck, and asks the referee if it was truly only two. As the referee puts up two fingers, Gile elbows Derrick in the stomach, making him release his hold on Seth. Gile gets to his feet, and then guides Derrick towards the turbuckles. Seth waits for Derrick to look in him the eyes, and then punches him. La’Bell drops to a knee, as Seth climbs up to the second rope and hits a big axe handle dropping his opponent to the mat.
CHARLES HUDSON: Gile is showing his skill set tonight!
Gile backs up, as he waits for Derrick to sit up. La’Bell does so, and Seth goes for a basement lariat, BUT DERRICK COUNTERS! By rolling his body back, Derrick was able to counter the Lariat into a kneeling fujiwara armbar. Derrick pulls back, and Seth fights to the hold as much as he can. Derrick seems to be hyper extending both the shoulder and elbow of Seth Gile, and Gile has to bite his hand not to tap. Desperate, Seth claws his way to the ropes, and places his free hand on the rope, breaking the hold.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Seth Gile narrowly making it to the bottom rope just in time.
Derrick let’s go of the hold instantly, and Seth rolls out of the ring to recompose himself. Derrick allows Seth sometime, but gets impatient, and rolls out of the ring. As he does, Seth runs at him, nearly amputating La’Bell’s leg with a wicked chop block. Derrick collapses, as he grabs his knee. Seth grabs the bottom rope, and begins to stomp away at the face of the “Prodigy of Strike Style”. The referee begins his count, urging Seth to get back in the ring and leave Derrick La’Bell alone. Gile ignores this request, as he hits a knee drop onto La’Bell. Seth then hits another knee drop and follows by going to the steel steps and hits a third knee drop onto Derrick La’Bell. La’Bell’s mouth begins to bleed, as the referee starts his count of
1…2…3…4.
Seth picks Derrick up to his feet, but La’Bell is incapacitated at the moment. Seth drags him over to the barricade, and gets behind his opponent. Without hesitation, Seth gile lifts up Derrick La’Bell, and slams him down with a back suplex onto the barricade. Derrick’s body looks like a slinky as his body bends over the barricade, and then falls back to ringside in a ball. Seth Gile enters the ring, as the referee continues his count...5…6…7...8.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Both men were on there way to being counted out of this match.
CHARLES HUDSON: Gile is frustrated with LaBell climbing back into the ring but regardless what he thinks you don’t want to win your first match in a promotion by count out.
Derrick begins to crawl towards the apron and slowly pulls himself up. Derrick rolls into the ring, much to the displeasure of the Once in a Lifetime talent! Seth drops to his knees in frustration, but as Derrick begins to make it to his feet, Gile begins to stalk him. Seth goes for a lariat, but LaBell ducks the attack. Then Seth Gile runs at him again, but LaBell again dodges him, this time with a leapfrog. However, Gile had that one scouted, and as Derrick turns around, Seth hits with a big dropkick then lands a huge running senton.
Derrick La’Bell grabs at his stomach, as Seth gets up to his feet. Derrick begins to stand up, but is met with a running bicycle knee! Derrick stumbles into the ropes, but rebounds hit a bicycle knee strike of his own. Seth stumbles back into the ropes, and rebounds with a discus slap to the face of La’Bell. La’Bell roars, making Seth flinch for a second. Derrick then grabs Seth, and lifts him up for the “East-side Driver” suplex pile driver then goes for the cover for 1...2…NEARFALL!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: I thought it was over!
Seth Gile musters up all of his strength to kick out from that nasty piledriver! Derrick slaps the mat in anger, as both of these men have done everything they can to each other! Derrick gets to his feet, dragging Seth up with him. Derrick looks for a powerbomb, but Seth punches his way out. Seth then wraps Derrick up, looking for a short-arm lariat, but Derrick counters by kicking Seth in the stomach. Both men hit each other with vicious forearm strikes, until they stumble into the ropes. Derrick and Seth hit simultaneous running knee strikes, collapsing to the mat together. Both men are out, and the referee begins his count...1…2…3...4…5...but then both me begin to stir and make it to their feet.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: The future is bright for Seattle Pro Wrestling especially after the battle we’ve seen between these two men in tonight’s opener.
Gile lands a right hand to the jaw of LaBell but when he goes for the second LaBell kicks him hard in the stomach doubling him over and making him jump up off the mat. He pulls Gile in and lifts him upward then drops him hard with his modified Gory Bomb called the Prodigy in Morion. He hooks the leg for 1...2...3!
GRAHAM STEVENS: Your winner by pin fall...DERRICK—LABELL!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: LaBell stands celebrating his victory as the fans are on their feet excited after such an exceptional opening bout.
CHARLES HUDSON: Everyone knew that this match being the only one on the card without a championship on the line knew that it was going to be a showcase of Derrick LaBell and Seth Gile and we got our money’s worth in that match.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Just a couple of hungry young men eager to succeed.
Gile makes it to his feet and walks over offering a fist bump in respect to LaBell and the two men fist bump as Gile exits the ring to fans clapping but with LaBell’s music playing.
CHARLES HUDSON: Up next after the break...Scotty Latimer will defend the Endurance Championship against Chris Andrew!
