As the bell rings, Cromwell immediately asserts his strength, stepping forward to try and corner Cashe. Jason, however, is quick on his feet, dodging a heavy-handed strike and responding with a rapid-fire combination of jabs, mixing in a Bell Clap that momentarily staggers Cromwell.

Cromwell regains his composure and retaliates with a powerful Lifting Knee to Jason's face, sending him back toward the ropes. But Jason uses the momentum to rebound, hitting Cromwell with a running headbutt that showcases his veteran agility.

The two engage in a back-and-forth, with Jason employing his speed and striking ability to keep Cromwell at bay. As Cromwell tries to grapple, Jason slips behind him and executes a Tiger Suplex, releasing him just before the pinfall, frustrating the larger opponent.

Cromwell, now visibly annoyed, powers back into the match, using his weight to execute a Drive By Big Boot that sends Jason crashing to the mat. The crowd gasps as Cromwell goes for a quick pin, but Jason kicks out at two.

Cashe, refusing to stay down, rolls out of the way as Cromwell attempts a repeated headbutt. He quickly counters with a running cannonball that catches Cromwell off guard, momentarily putting him on the defensive.

Jason then climbs to the second rope, launching himself into a diving cannonball. The impact resonates through the arena, and he goes for the pin—but Cromwell powers out once more, showing his resilience.

As the match reaches its climax, both wrestlers are visibly fatigued but determined. Cromwell attempts to regain control with a series of clotheslines, but Jason ducks and counters with a left-handed clothesline of his own, staggering Cromwell.

Seeing an opening, Jason positions Cromwell against the ropes and prepares for his signature move. As Cromwell leans against the corner, Jason charges in, executing the "Mark Of JASON" with a devastating hooking right elbow strike that sends Cromwell reeling. The crowd erupts as Jason quickly follows up, hooking Cromwell's leg for the 1...2...3!

The scene opens in the catering area, where AJ Knight sits with a surprisingly large plate piled high with an assortment of delicious food items—crispy chicken, vibrant roasted vegetables, pasta drizzled with rich sauce, and a generous helping of Honeydew melon, which he seems to have taken a particular liking to.

AJ KNIGHT: (leaning back in his chair, a slight smirk on his face) So, here I am again, just trying to make my mark in Mainstream Wrestling. After my last attempt to call out management and lay down my challenge for who I wanted to face in the ring, what do they do? They decide to fly me out for the next show... just to sit here and enjoy the catering.

He gestures dramatically to the smorgasbord in front of him, his plate nearly overflowing.

AJ KNIGHT: (taking a bite) Now, don’t get me wrong—Mainstream has some pretty top-notch catering. I mean, look at this spread! Honestly, I’m even starting to like Honeydew melon... Who would’ve thought? But here's the kicker: that’s not why I’m here. I’m the United States Champion, folks. The longest reigning champion in Mainstream history!

AJ scratches the back of his head, his sheepish grin growing wider as he continues his rant.

AJ KNIGHT: (chuckling) Okay, I admit it’s on a bit of a technicality. I mean, I’ve only got the title by a couple of minutes at best. Some might call it a fluke. But hey, a win’s a win, right? (he shrugs) But my point is, if you’re going to foot the bill to bring me out here, at least find something for me to do.

He leans in closer, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret.

AJ KNIGHT: (with a playful glint in his eye) Because let me tell you, when I get bored, I start to think of ways to entertain myself. And the last time I did that, let’s just say it didn’t sit too well with management. (he winks) So, it’s really your call, Mainstream.

AJ takes another big bite of his food, savoring the flavors while raising an eyebrow at the camera, a mischievous glimmer in his eyes.

AJ KNIGHT: (with a satisfied grin) Just remember, I’m not here to eat alone. I’m here to fight!

As he continues to dig into his meal, the scene begins to fade, leaving viewers wondering what mischief AJ Knight might conjure if left to his own devices.

The shot slowly fades to black, leaving AJ enjoying his food, but with the unmistakable hint of restlessness lingering in the air.

LEX COLLINS: I stand before you today not just as your World Heavyweight Champion, but as a proud representative of what this company means to so many. This title is not just a piece of gold; it symbolizes the heart, the passion, and the sacrifices made by every man and woman who steps into that ring. It represents the dreams of countless fans and the families who support us.

The crowd erupts with cheers, showing their appreciation for Lex's words.

LEX COLLINS: But let’s take a moment to reflect. When Mainstream Wrestling went away for over a year, it left a void in the wrestling world. Fans were left wondering where to go and what to do. It was a time of disarray, a time when professional wrestling felt incomplete. But now, we are back and stronger than ever! Mainstream Wrestling is at the forefront of this business, and it feels damn good to be leading the charge!

Lex's passion is palpable as he stares into the camera, his eyes filled with determination.

LEX COLLINS: I didn’t just walk into this title; I earned it. Night after night, I’ve defended this championship against all challengers, proving that I deserve to be here. And I want to take a moment to recognize two incredible competitors: Emma Douglas, a former World Champion, and Cory Chevelle, a future World Champion in the making.

The mention of their names elicits a mixed reaction from the crowd, highlighting the rivalry and respect between the competitors.

LEX COLLINS: Tonight, they are going to absolutely go to war in the main event! I’m excited, thrilled, and ready to see what they bring to the table. Both Emma and Cory are different wrestlers with unique styles, but they are equally deserving of this opportunity. However, only one of them will have the chance to challenge me for the World Championship at Mainstream’s Eight Year Anniversary in New York City, inside the historic Madison Square Garden on November 24th.

Lex pauses, allowing the significance of the event to resonate with the audience.

LEX COLLINS: And you better believe I’ll be in the main event that night, defending what I’ve worked so hard to earn. But the question remains—who will join me? Will it be Emma Douglas, or will it be Cory Chevelle? Tonight, we find out who is ready to step up and claim their shot at greatness!

With a final glance at the championship belt over his shoulder, Lex raises his fist defiantly, capturing the attention of the fans one last time. The crowd roars in anticipation, fully invested in the upcoming main event as Lex exits the ring, leaving them buzzing with excitement for what’s to come.

Wrath II comes back from its final break with Graham Stevens in the ring, mic in hand.

GRAHAM STEVENS: Houston, Texas, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a #1 Contender’s Match for the Mainstream World Heavyweight Championship!

The lights around the arena go dark. The drum beats begin slowly pounding until the few chords of “Promentory,” by METALHAWK, begin playing. Smoke begins filling the stage area as the music builds to a slow climax. After a minute as the chords begin crunching and raising in intensity, Chevelle appears walking out on stage.

GRAHAM STEVENS: Making his way to the ring first, from Bootjack, Missouri, weighing in at two hundred and ninety pounds, “Ol’ Poppa Chevy” Cory Chevelle!

MCKAYLA LEWIS: Chevelle may have come up just short at Mainstream Deception in Seattle in his bid to dethrone Lex Collins as the Mainstream World Heavyweight Champion, but tonight, he has a shot at redemption, he has a shot at earning another title opportunity!

CHARLES HUDSON: You want to talk about wrestlers who just have an aura about them, you start that conversation with Cory Chevelle. There is no other athlete quite like him on the Mainstream roster. There’s a reason his debut match with the company was for the World Heavyweight Championship!

Chevelle makes his way through the smoke. His cold blue eyes focused on the ring. Chevelle springs up to the side apron and then hops over the ropes. Chevelle looks out to the crowd and flexes followed by a pec juggle and turns his attention towards the ramp, awaiting his opponent.

The lights go down as "Judas" by Septogram echoes through the PA system. The lyrics "You are beautiful on the inside, you are innocence personified" are the first words heard and at that time, a strobe light effect with a red hue highlights the walkway. Emma Douglas walks out, takes a quick moment to gather herself and then hypes herself up, letting out almost a roar.

GRAHAM STEVENS: And his opponent, from Austin, Texas, weighing in at 185 pounds, “The Mistress of Mayhem” Emma Douglas!

MCKAYLA LEWIS: Emma Douglas has held the Mainstream Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship before, and she wants to reascend to the mountain top once more! But before she can even attempt to climb to the summit, she has to get through the man who savagely attacked her two weeks ago in Cory Chevelle.

CHARLES HUDSON: They were partners in Las Vegas, Lou, partners, but after the match, Cory Chevelle brutalized Emma Douglas. She is giving up 105 pounds to her opponent tonight, but Emma Douglas fights a lot bigger than her one hundred and eighty five pounds. She’s as strong as an ox and twice as stubborn! We’re in for a slugfest here tonight!

From there, she walks down, almost sneering at the crowd with contempt. She makes a point not to let the crowd touch her as she passes by. As she reaches the ring, she walks up the ring steps, not taking her eyes off of Chevelle for one moment. He stares back at her with his piercing blue eyes, hopping around a bit to stay loose. Emma steps through the ropes and tries to get right in Chevelle’s face, but the ref steps in between. Cory can’t help but grin, and can be seen mouthing, “That’s cute…” which only enrages Emma more! The ref finally is able to get her back to her corner and once she’s there, he calls for the bell!

The bell rings and both competitors explode out of their respective corners, meeting in the middle of the ring violently! There’s no feeling out process at all, as both Douglas and Chevelle throw haymakers at one another, absorbing the blows as they continue to swing wild and swing hard! The fans are going wild, enjoying the donnybrook! Cory pops Emma with a hard Forearm to the chin that knocks her a step back, but she responds by stepping right back in with a Headbutt to his chin! She then muscles up “Ol’ Poppa Chevy” and drives him backwards into the corner, launching a series of stiff Shoulder Thrusts to his midsection as she holds onto the ropes. After the fifth thrust, Chevelle gets his arms down to block the sixth, and grabs Emma by the throat, powering her up and around into the corner before answering with some Shoulder Thrusts of his own! His sixth Shoulder Thrust hits Emma so hard that she coughs up some blood onto his back! Emma falls into a seated position as Chevelle backs up to admire his handiwork.

MCKAYLA LEWIS: That’s not a good sign for Emma Douglas at all! She could be suffering from internal bleeding already!

CHARLES HUDSON: Like that’s going to stop her, Lou! With what’s on the line, neither one of these competitors is going to hold back or give up!

Chevelle flexes his pecs a couple of times at the crowd before turning his attention back to the seated Emma, and he gets a running start, throwing a Running Knee that crashes into Emma’s right temple! She appears to be dazed as Chevelle drags her out of the corner to the middle of the ring. He nonchalantly places a boot on her chest, but the ref doesn’t even get the one count before she pushes his foot off her chest. Chevelle laughs and gives her a boot to the head, placing his foot on her chest once more, 1…KICK OUT! Realizing he can’t get away with playing with his food, Chevelle reaches down and begins to pull Emma up by the hair, only for Emma to burst up and catch him with a Double Leg Takedown! Douglas is raining down heavy fists on Chevelle as he gets his hands up to defend himself. Emma gives him a hard right to the ribs, which brings his arms down enough for her to land a Hammer Fist right on his nose hard enough to draw blood! Chevelle is pissed, and shoves up as hard as he can, trying to knock Emma off, but she’s as relentless as a Pitbull, staying on top of her opponent and continuing to throw hard shots! After a couple more attempts, Chevelle is finally able to push her off and begins to make his way up, but Emma dashes in and grabs a hold of his head, hooking in a Guillotine Choke as he gets to one knee. Throwing a couple of stiff knees to the chest of Chevelle, Douglas ratchets her arm, putting more torque on the Guillotine. Chevelle’s face is beet red, but he reaches up with his massive fist, giving Emma a hard punch to the ribs. This prompts her to ratchet her arms again, and Chevelle puts more mustard on his follow-up punch, breaking the hold as Emma coughs up some more blood.

CHARLES HUDSON: If it was anyone else but Emma Douglas in there, the ref would have to seriously consider calling this match. But he knows that if he called it, that would be a death wish!

MCKAYLA LEWIS: All jokes aside, these two combatants cannot possibly keep this pace up for too much longer. As we saw in Emma’s match with The Beast a month ago, these wild brawls can end in an instant!

Chevelle makes his way back up to his feet as Emma falls to her hands and knees, clutching her ribs in pain as she continues to cough. He grabs a hold of Emma’s hair, pulling her back up to a vertical base before wrapping his arms around her and tossing her up and over his head with an Overhead Release Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Emma hits the mat hard on her neck and shoulder area, and Chevelle gives her no time to recover, pulling her back up and in for another Overhead Release Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Douglas is in a bad way on the mat, holding her ribs and coughing profusely while Cory Chevelle mockingly motions for her to get up. As Emma Douglas begins to push herself up, Chevelle is right there to give her a brutal kick to the ribs with such force that it flips her onto her back! Chevelle arrogantly places his boot on her chest again, 1…2…Emma shoves his foot off of her!

MCKAYLA LEWIS: Emma Douglas will not die! I gotta be honest with you, Charles, it’s shocking to see somebody physically dominate “The Mistress of Mayhem” the way Cory Chevelle has so far tonight. But there’s a reason Emma Douglas is the former Mainstream World Heavyweight Champion!

CHARLES HUDSON: What’s really interesting about this match, Lou, is that both competitors are not what you’d consider to be fan favorites, so the fact that Cory Chevelle is garnering sympathy from the crowd for Emma Douglas is just wild!

A loud “LET’S GO EMMA!” chant gets going, though the scowl on Emma’s face shows that either she doesn’t like it or that she’s in severe pain, or probably both. Chevelle reaches down to pull her up, peeling her off of the mat only to get met with the Headbutt to the ribs! In a sudden burst, Emma rockets upwards, driving her shoulder into his midsection, getting him up over her shoulder, allowing her to whip him around into a ring-shaking Spinning Spinebuster! Emma falls to her bottom after performing the maneuver, and wipes some blood from her mouth as she drags herself over to make the cover, but doesn’t even get a one count! She stays on Chevelle, wrapping an arm around his head and peppering his forehead with some quick Rabbit Punches before bending down and biting his forehead! The ref admonishes Emma, beginning the five count as Cory flails and kicks his feet in pain, trying to get her off of himself! Emma breaks the bite at the count of four, but then goes right back to it! Cory reaches up to her face and breaks the hold with a Rake Across the Eyes! “The Mistress of Mayhem” squints her eyes as she fumbles around, trying to reach the ropes to pull herself up, while Cory sits there, his hand pressed against his forehead. He pulls his hand down and takes a look at how red it is, and he snorts, glaring at Emma as she stands near the ropes. Chevelle pops up to his feet in a flash and charges headlong at his opponent, but Emma grabs a hold of the top rope and drops down, low-bridging Chevelle and sending him tumbling to the outside! Cory hits the floor hard and rolls back-first into the barricade! The crowd is to their feet as Emma Douglas begins to climb to the top rope!

CHARLES HUDSON: Tell me the last time you remember Emma Douglas going to the top rope with an opponent inside the ring, let alone outside!

MCKAYLA LEWIS: We’ve seen her dive off the apron before, but this is uncharted territory for “The Mistress of Mayhem!”

Douglas mounts the top turnbuckle and flips Chevelle the double bird before leaping off the top with a Diving Cannonball that hits its mark! “HOLY SMOKES! HOLY SMOKES!” the fans begin to chant, and Emma is fired up despite the crowd’s support! Chevelle is clearly dazed as he’s pulled off of the mat and rolled back into the ring, with Emma sliding in right behind him. She goes for the cover, hooking both legs, 1…2…KICK OUT! Emma pulls Chevelle’s head just up off the mat, and delivers a sickening Headbutt right between the eyes before going for another cover, 1…2…KICK OUT AGAIN! Douglas punches the mat in frustration, but stays focused, getting to her feet and motioning for her opponent to get up. As he does, she fires off a Discus Lariat, but Chevelle ducks it! As Emma gets herself turned around, Chevelle is right there to wrap his arms around her body, going for the Silverback Klutch, but Emma boxes his ears before he can cinch it in! She goes for another Discus Lariat, but again, Chevelle gets under it and gets behind her, pulling her in for a picture perfect German Suplex! “One!” the fans chant at the first German Suplex from Chevelle. He keeps his hands locked together and pulls Emma up again, delivering a second German Suplex! “Two!” Chevelle goes for the hat trick, and pulls off the third German Suplex in a row. “Three!” Cory Chevelle gets greedy, maintaining the waist lock and pulling Emma up for a fourth German Suplex! “Four!” Emma Douglas looks to be out of it as Chevelle pulls her up again, still maintaining waist control. She reaches out towards the ropes, which are well out of reach, and Chevelle throws her up and over for a fifth German Suplex, this time releasing it and sending her flying halfway across the ring! This time, Chevelle goes for a legitimate cover, pressing his forearm into Emma’s face as he hooks the leg with his other arm, 1…2…KICK OUT!

MCKAYLA LEWIS: After five vicious, brutal, powerful German Suplexes, Emma Douglas manages to get her shoulder up just in the nick of time!

CHARLES HUDSON: We knew Emma Douglas was tough. We knew Emma Douglas was a monster. But what she is doing tonight against Cory Chevelle is adding to her legend!

Chevelle’s cold, piercing blue eyes glare down at his opponent. He’s trying to keep an emotionless veneer, but it’s obvious that he’s pissed that Emma is still fighting. He powers her back up to her feet and leads her to the near corner, bouncing Emma’s face off of the top turnbuckle. Chevelle then presses Douglas’ back into the corner, rocking her with some hard Forearm Shivers. Emma is on Dream Street as Chevelle wraps his hands around her throat and sits her on the top turnbuckle. He then begins to climb himself, pulling her up into a standing position once he’s up top himself. “Ol’ Poppa Chevy” wraps his massive arms around Emma’s waist, looking to set up for a Belly-to-Belly on the top, but Emma fights back, punching him repeatedly in the face until he lets go! Emma gives him the goozle around the throat and jumps off, giving him an Avalanche Choke Slam! Unfortunately for Emma, she doesn’t have the energy to even attempt a cover, and both competitors are laid out on the mat while the fans are going crazy!

CHARLES HUDSON: Both competitors are pulling out all the stops here tonight! Cory Chevelle isn’t known for going up top either, but he knows that he has to do something special and extraordinary to keep Emma Douglas down!

MCKAYLA LEWIS: He didn’t seem comfortable up on top of those ropes, Charles, and Emma was able to use that to her advantage. Still, neither wrestler has moved since the Chokeslam off the top rope.

Inside the ring, the ref begins the mandatory 10 count, raising his index finger up as he yells, “ONE!” Douglas is holding her ribs in pain, blood still trickling out of her mouth.

“TWO!”

Chevelle is just barely stirring, his foot twitching as he lays flat on his back.

“THREE!”

CHARLES HUDSON: If both competitors get counted out, would we have a Triple Threat Match for the Mainstream Heavyweight Title?

“FOUR!”

The crowd is clapping in unison, trying to will the wrestlers on, not wanting the match to end this way.

MCKAYLA LEWIS: I’d imagine both would have to go to the back of the line as title contenders, or perhaps they’d have another match. This bout is to earn the right to a title shot, keyword earn!

“FIVE!”

CHARLES HUDSON: That makes sense. Still, it would be a shame for this match to end in a double count out.

“SIX!”

By this point, Chevelle has turned himself onto his side, and appears to be working his way towards all fours. Douglas has her hands beneath her on the mat, beginning to press up.

“SEVEN!”

Emma coughs violently, staining the canvas with more blood from her mouth. This causes her to lose her progress on getting up as she collapses back onto the mat.

MCKAYLA LEWIS: I know you said earlier that the referee would have to have a death wish to call this match based on the internal bleeding that Emma Douglas is displaying, but at some point, enough is enough.

“EIGHT!”

CHARLES HUDSON: I gotta agree, Lou. Especially when her opponent is somebody as dangerous as “Ol’ Poppa Chevy” himself!

Cory Chevelle is up to his feet just before the count of nine, and he shoves the ref back, peeling Emma off of the mat and wrapping his massive arms around her midsection, applying his version of the Bear Hug, the Silverback Klutch! Emma lets out a guttural growl of pain as Chevelle starts to rag doll her, shaking her intensely as he tightens his grip! The referee is right there to see if Emma gives up, but she won’t give him the satisfaction. She tries to take a swing at Chevelle, but he’s shaking her so violently that she can’t get any pepper behind it. He hops up and down with his arms still enveloping Emma, jolting her entire body as blood continues to flow from her mouth.

MCKAYLA LEWIS: Emma Douglas won’t give up, but she appears to be fading fast!

CHARLES HUDSON: We could be on the verge of declaring Cory Chevelle the new #1 Contender!

Emma’s head slouches down as her body goes limp. Corey Chevelle looks incredibly pleased with himself as the ref raises Emma’s arm up. He lets go of her wrist, and the arm falls limply to her side. “ONE!” the ref yells before grabbing a hold of Emma’s wrist once more. Again, he raises the arm, and again, it drops. “TWO!” The ref gets a hold of Emma’s wrist for the third and final time, raising her arm up and letting go. It falls a little bit, but NO! Emma raises her arm with authority! Showing she’s still in the fight! Chevelle tries to rag doll her some more, but she pops him in the chin with some stiff right hands, and uses her own blood as Red Mist, spitting it into the eyes of Cory Chevelle, breaking the hold!

CHARLES HUDSON: That is simultaneously one of the most disgusting and bad-ass things I’ve ever witnessed!

Chevelle is screaming in rage as he tries to wipe the blood from his eyes. Emma doesn’t give him a chance to recover, hoisting him onto her shoulders, but before she can run to the ropes, her back gives out, forcing Emma to drop Chevelle to his feet. He gives her a few clubbing blows to the back before whipping her towards the far ropes. Chevelle runs to the near ropes for momentum and drills Emma with a devastating Bloodlust Spear so hard that blood and sweat can be seen flying off of her! Cory presses his back to her chest and hooks both legs for 1…2…3!

GRAHAM STEVENS: Your winner by pin fall

GRAHAM STEVENS: Here is your winner, by pinfall AND NEW NUMBER ONE CONTENDER…CORY—CHEVELLE!

“Promontory” hits the speakers as Cory Chevelle rolls off of Douglas and makes his way back up to a knee. He’s holding his lower back in pain as the ref comes over to raise his arm in victory.
