MAINSTREAM WRESTLING IS LIVE FROM CHICAGO AND WE’RE INSIDE THE UNITED CENTER FOR MAINSTREAM 99!
Carpenter Brut’s “Leather Teeth” hits the speakers, with the arena lights flashing red and white laser lights shooting from the stage. Biggs walks out from backstage to a noticeably warmer than usual reception from the Chicago crowd. He’s clad in a pair of blue jeans and his “Booing Me is Fine” T-Shirt. He has no security detail, and no taser on him, and takes a look back to make sure he’s not getting jumped.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: It was just one week ago that Emma Douglas attacked Biggs twice in one night! First backstage, and then immediately following his match with Colton Hayes. It’s awfully bold of him to be coming out here seemingly with no type of protection.
CHARLES HUDSON: There’s no two ways about it, the Mainstream World Heavyweight Champion flat out kicked his ass. Just look at his right arm! It’s still heavily bandaged!
He walks down to the ring with intent and purpose, but takes the time to give high-fives to Lex Collins’ girls at ringside before grabbing a mic from the timekeeper’s area before rolling into the ring.
BIGGS: Emma Douglas, by now I am well, you threw me off the damn stage. Gonna be honest, I’m surprised you haven’t attacked me tonight yet. And that’s the key word, “yet,” because if there’s one thing that you are, “Mayhem Mistress,” it’s predictable. A lot of your game is built on intimidating your opponents pre-match, letting them know that you’ll tear them limb from limb, and that you’ll greatly enjoy doing so. And then you come into this ring and steamroll anyone and everyone who has been put before you. And it’s worked for you. In fact, it’s worked for you quite well, to the tune of a lengthy run as the Mainstream Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. But it won’t work against me! That’s why tonight, I’m making it easy for you. I’m right here in the middle of the ring. I dare you to come out here, you stand right in front of me, look me in the eyes, and tell me to my face that I’m not going to take that title from you!
“But you can’t do that, now can you, Emma Douglas? Because the fact of the matter is that you are nothing more than a big bully! And if there’s one thing I know about bullies, it’s that at their very core, they are afraid. And I know you’re afraid, Emma, I really do, because when I defeat you to become the new Mainstream Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion, it will crush this aura of invincibility that you have cultivated over the past six months. You're afraid that once people see that you can and will be defeated, you cannot bully them any longer! Your actions last week were those of a coward who knows that deep down inside, all she can rely on is chaos and guerilla tactics. It’s obvious as to why you are so brusque and short with everyone, because you don’t want people to see the real Emma Douglas. But I see you, Emma, the scared woman who wears a mask every single day of her life. You have built this false persona that you’re a wrecking ball, a force of nature that can’t be stopped. But inside, Emma, I know that you are hurting. I know that your whole facade as this unbeatable badass is just a house of cards that will all come tumbling down. And I know that you know that I’m going to be the one to do it!”
“Because when you took out Bobby Larson three weeks ago, while I was out of the country, you lit a fire in my heart. Before that, I had no animosity, I had no qualms with you other than the fact that you are the Mainstream World Heavyweight Champion, and I am not! When you put my wife and child in harm’s way with your parking garage assault, it only fed that flame. When you threw me off of the stage following my match with Colton Hayes, well by golly, you created a blazing inferno, to the point where there is nothing more that I want in this world than to kick your ever loving ass and take not just your title, but your aura too!”
“So I ask you again, Emma Douglas, can you come out here and face me woman-to-man, look me dead in the eyes, and tell me that I can’t beat you? Or are you going to continue to be the coward that you are?!”
And with that, "Judas" by Septogram hits the speakers. Emma Douglas slowly makes her way out into the stage to a mixed reaction. She's without her usual gas mask. Just a black tee with white lettering that says "Karma isn't real" and a pair of black denim jeans. She raises the microphone to her lips as she speaks.
EMMA DOUGLAS:. "You have a lot of gall don't you, Biggs? Do you have a degree in psychology? No? Then don't speak about me like you know me. Don't analyze me like some hack that you are. What I'm hearing is that you don't like how I go about things."
"You seemed fine by it when it wasn't focused on you though did it? Sat on the sidelines until I did something that directly effected you. Through all that bluster, all that talking down about me, calling me scared, what I'm hearing is you don't like my methods. But you see, my methods have worked rather well, wouldn't you say? I mean, have we seen hide or hair of Bryan Ford since I dropped him on his head? I've brutally beaten the UWL Heavyweight Champion TWICE! And that's just the tip of the iceberg. But the thing is, it only ruffled your feathers when it had something to do with YOUR life, YOUR protege. He truly thought he could hang with me. And well, you saw how well that ended for him. Do I look like I'm scared of you, Biggs? Or anyone for that matter? Nah, I just do what I want when I want. Because if you haven't heard, this is MY reign and I'm the one who is dictating how things are done. Not Robb Daniels, not Kevin Bombay, but me. And so if I want to toss around boys whom are still a little wet behind the ears, well, that's my prerogative."
BIGGS: Okay Bobby Brown or Britney Spears, take your pick, “My Prerogative” was a horrible song. And Bobby knew coming in that he was in for the fight of his life. I take no umbrage with you doing what you had to do within the context of the match itself. Bobby may lack experience, but he has heart and is a tough out. I get that. What I don’t get is attacking him again after you knocked him out to win the match. What I especially don’t get is attacking me in front of my wife and baby daughter! If your prerogative is cheap shots and guerilla tactics, that speaks mighty poorly about your character as a woman. I stand by my point that you are scared, because those are the tactics of a coward! You are a coward, Emma Douglas, A COWARD! You can use all the scare tactics, sneaks attacks, and dirty dealings you want, Emma Douglas, but after you put away Robert Zodiac tonight, which unfortunately, I’m pretty confident in because Zodiac can never seem to get out of his own way, you got a date with me at Mainstream 100: Inception IV for the World Heavyweight Championship! This will not only be my first opportunity at wrestling for the World’s Title since I came to Mainstream Wrestling, but my first title shot in 10 years! I will not let it go to waste! You may be King Kong, wreaking havoc, bulldozing your way through all the opposition, but standing across from you right now is the mother-f***ing King of the Monsters, Gojira! And just like Gojira vs. Kong, you may get a few good licks in, but when it’s all said and done, I will be standing over you, dominant! I may not have the strength that you have, but I sure as hell have more speed, more skill, and most importantly, more heart! While you are rampaging, taking out everything in sight, I work with precision and technique. That kick to Colton Hayes’ jaw that knocked him out last week, that wasn’t a lucky shot! And I sure as hell won’t need a lucky shot to take you out and claim my first World Heavyweight Championship in a decade! So what do you have to say to that, Coward? You got some witty retort, or are you just going to lay hands on me again and prove my point?
Biggs lowers his hands, essentially giving Emma a free shot.
EMMA DOUGLAS: "Probably both. But I do want to say one thing before I knock your block off AGAIN. You like hearing the sound of your own voice way too much. Besides, my actions speak louder than your words."
At this point, Emma grabs a hold of Biggs’ hair and goes to Headbutt him, but Biggs gets his hands up to block the attempted blow! He fires back with a well placed right hand that catches Emma plum on the chin and follows up with a quick elbow strike to the jaw that sends her staggering backwards! Biggs rushes in to try and Clothesline her over the ropes, but Emma sidesteps him and tosses him right over the ropes, the momentum causing him to roll backfirst into the announce table! Emma rolls underneath the ropes, kicking Biggs while he’s down before grabbing a length of several cables taped to the mats near the table. She pulls them up and wraps them around Biggs’ throat as referees and agents rush down the ramp! Biggs’ eyes are rolling in the back of his head as officials try in vain to pull “The Mayhem Mistress” off of “The Spaceman!” One brave ref puts a hand on Emma’s shoulder, only to get a vicious Backhand that knocks him clean out! More officials put hand on Emma, trying to break her grasp on the cable, but she hulks up, shoving all of them off! This does allow Biggs some breathing room, and he groggily unwraps the cords from around his neck, and crawls towards the timekeeper’s area while Emma continues to fight off the officials!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: It is absolute chaos, utter mayhem here at ringside! Emma Douglas will no doubt be facing fines for her actions here!
CHARLES HUDSON: Hell, she may even face suspension or being stripped of the title!
Biggs reaches the timekeeper’s table, using it to drag himself up. Emma breaks away from the rabble of the refs and agents, making her way like a Terminator towards Biggs! He has a look of “I’m getting too old for this shit…” on his face as he rushes in, going for a Jumping Spinning Heel Kick, but Emma ducks it and catches him midair, hoisting him up for a Powerbomb through the announce table!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Oh my goodness! She’s broken him in half!
Emma Douglas gives Biggs no quarter as she peels him up from the wreckage of the announce table, picking him up onto her shoulders and running towards the nearest ringpost for a Douglas Death Driver right into the steel pole! Biggs is bleeding from the mouth as she stands over him laughing.
CHARLES HUDSON: Robert Zodiac is probably in the back right now thanking his lucky stars that tonight’s match with Emma Douglas is No Disqualification, because as tough as he is, anyone is going to need all the help they can get to put Emma Douglas down at this juncture!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: I know Zodiac enough to know that he doesn’t give a care, he just wants to fight, but your point still stands! Emma Douglas is on an absolute tear, leaving nothing by destruction in her wake!
Medical staff keep their distance as Emma stands over the downed Biggs. She shows him disrespect by wiping her feet in his direction before walking over him towards the ramp. As medical personnel close in on Biggs, Emma turns around, spooking them, before callously laughing and making her way up the ramp.
CHARLES HUDSON: Even if Robert Zodiac is able to pull off a miracle tonight and defeat Emma Douglas, it’s going to take an even bigger miracle for Biggs to make it to Mainstream 100: Inception IV.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: He’s going to be spending Christmas in the hospital at the very least.
Biggs continues to cough as the EMTs load him onto a backboard. Mainstream 99 fades to it's first commercial break.
