WE'RE LIVE FROM SEATTLE, WASHINGTON INSIDE THE HOME OF SEATTLE PRO WRESTLING...KEY ARENA FOR THE EMERALD CITY CLASSIC!

AS I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH
"Gangster's Paradise" by Coolio begins to play throughout the arena. The lights abruptly turn off all at once as the music continues to play. Seemingly hundreds of camera flashes begin lighting up the darkened arena then suddenly the curtain is thrown back and Robb Daniels emerges from behind the curtain wielding a microphone.
ROBB DANIELS: Ladies and Gentlemen of Seattle and those watching live on the Battleground Network...Welcome to the first annual Emerald City Classic!
Daniels paces back and forth on the stage with one hand in his pocket and the other holding his microphone.
ROBB DANIELS: Tonight we'll witness a tournament of elitist as they will battle each other for the right to advance and eventually become the winner of the Emerald City Classic who will receive the prize money and a shot at the Heavyweight Championship!
His music begins playing faintly as he walks behind the curtain after waving to the fans.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Ladies and Gentlemen, I am McKayla Lewis and I am joined by Charles Hudson and we'll be calling each match in front of this sold out crowd inside Key Arena!
CHARLES HUDSON: It is an honor and my pleasure to accompany you tonight as we find out who will advance in the Emerald City Classic tournament.
"OKAY"
The house lights go down in Key Arena as "My Name is Human" by Highly Suspect begins to play and the strobe lights move with the unpolished melody as James Edwards appears on the stage.
Edwards reaches behind and unfastens the Pride Championship holding it down at his side before raising it up over his head and walking down the aisle slapping hands with the fans before climbing up the stairs and steps through the ropes and into the ring.
As the opening siren to "Indestructible” by Disturbed begins to play through the arena the lights dim, red & blue spotlights circle around the stage. Bryan Blaze enters from behind the curtain and is instantly showered with nothing but the utmost hatred and excessively loud boos from the crowd in attendance. He wears a crimson red jacket on his upper body along with his regular ring attire.
Blaze struts down the ramp as fans continue to pelt him with hate and obscenities. As he reaches the bottom of the ramp, he drops to his knees and throws his arms up. He stands and circles around the ring until he gets to the far ring steps. He quickly walks up them and along the ring apron. Blaze then climbs the second turnbuckle and outstretches his arms in a taunt on the crowd.
GRAHAM STEVENS: From Nova Scotia he weighs in at two hundred and three pounds and stands at five feet and ten inches tall...Bryan BLAZE!
Blaze raises both arms posing for the fans receiving mixed reactions.
GRAHAM STEVENS: Weighing in at two hundred and four pounds and standing at five feet and nine inches tall. From Lexington, Kentucky he's the reigning Pride Champion...the 'Burning Heart'...JAMES EDWARDS!
Edwards steps forward with his head held high and raises the Pride Championship over his head before handing it off the official who gives it to the ring hand out in the floor.

Quarter-Final Match
James Edwards vs Bryan Blaze
The bell sounds and both men circle the ring watching each other closely. Edwards approaches Blaze and looks for a 'test of strength' raising his arm into the air. Blaze looks at it and the two lock hands and go for a second but Bryan Blaze explodes upward with a hurricanrana out of no where.
CHARLES HUDSON: Wasting no time with that hurricanrana he catches James Edwards completely off guard.
Edwards rolls over holding the back of his head and looking up at Blaze with a half smile. Edwards stands and Blaze comes back in quickly with consecutive right hands followed by a full speed discus clothesline from Nova Scotia!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: That clothesline puts the Pride Champion flat on his back!
CHARLES HUDSON: Bryan Blaze knows what is at stake!
Blaze lifts Edwards up to one knee and cranks a headlock on Edwards. Edwards quickly backs Blaze into the ropes pushing him off. As Blaze hits the ropes he looks to come back with a clothesline but Edwards elevates him over the top rope! Blaze lands on the apron! Blaze slingshots over...Edwards catches him in a fireman's carry! Blaze with vicious elbows to get out of the predicament lands on his feet behind him then flips the Pride Champion backwards with a German Suplex and a bridge for 1...2...KICKOUT!
CHARLES HUDSON: With a better grasp, this match is over and Blaze is one step closer to a shot at the Heavyweight Championship.
Blaze roll from underneath the broken bridge and pushes himself up off one knee. He grabs Edwards by the head and lifts him up and on the way Edwards breaks free and shoves Blaze backwards. He kicks him in the stomach then bounces off the ropes Edwards goes for a clothesline but Blaze ducks coming back with his own back elbow but Edwards sidesteps then kicks him in the stomach doubling him over. Edwards pulls Blaze in under his arm and grabs his tights lifting him up and dropping him with a float over suplex for 1...KICKOUT!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Edwards looking for the victory early on in this matchup!
CHARLES HUDSON: Blaze called Edwards out a couple months ago but the two haven't been around each other since then.
Edwards and Blaze get to there feet around the same time. Edwards notices and rushes at Blaze but as he approaches Blaze grabs hold of Edwards and drops him quickly with an implant DDT after a failed tackle. Blaze heads to the top rope briefly poses then leaps off with a Phoenix Splash bouncing upwards after the impact then hooks the leg while holding to his midsection for 1...2...NEARFALL!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Blaze is dipping into his bag of tricks with that aerial assault!
CHARLES HUDSON: These two men have talked a lot of trash about each other I am sure glad they showed up to show out!
Blaze is holding to his midsection after that top rope move but he uses the turnbuckle to pull himself up as Edwards charges at the corner but Blaze leaps over him and rolls through when he lands! Edwards charges again, looking for a clothesline but Blaze ducks and quickly hits a loose leaping neckbreaker.
Blaze stands with both arms in the air taunting the Pride Champion before stomping him while he's down. The official steps between backing him away from Edwards and warns him.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Don't ruin this match with dirty tactics Blaze.
Edwards pushes himself up from one knee and lunges into the corner narrowly missing the official to splash Blaze! James Edwards confidently leans against the ropes holding the top rope with his right arm sizing Blaze up as he stumbles around and hits him with consecutive spinning back fists.
CHARLES HUDSON: ...he calls that the 'Double-Tap'.
Edwards shoves Blaze into the ropes and as he bounces back he grabs him from behind nailing a thunderous Half-Cut then rolls Blaze over and hooks the leg for 1...2...KICKOUT!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: For a split second it looked like James Pride was on his way to the next round.
Edwards drops down to the floor pulling the back of the head forward and forcing the throat of Blaze against the top rope. Blaze stumbles backward holding at his throat while Edwards slides under the bottom rope lifting Blaze and dropping him down with a Double Underhook Brain Buster and hooks the leg for 1...2...NEARFALL!
CHARLES HUDSON: Edwards bad Blaze looking helpless with that double underhook version of the brain buster.
Edwards struggles to lift Blaze up to his feet but with some help of the ropes and middle turnbuckle he sits Blaze up and lands a right hand then Blaze shoves him back standing up and begins firing back! Blaze with a jab then a second jab followed by a third while Edwards appears to be on dream street! Blaze winds up for another but Edwards ducks catching him with a back elbow!
CHARLES HUDSON: Just when all seemed to be lost.
Blaze backs into the ropes comes out strong looking for a spinning heel kick but Edwards catches him and forcefully tugs Blaze into a wristlock position. Edwards spins Blaze out then pulls him back in and knees him in the face with the Second Gospel! Blaze falls to his knees. Edwards hits the ropes looking for the Violent Gospel but Blaze kips up and drops Edwards with a PELE KICK out of nowhere...Edwards is stunned as he falls into the ropes and bounces back but Bryan Blaze levels him with 'the Burn' and makes the cover while kicking his feet against the mat in excitement for 1...2...3!
MCKAYLA LEWIS: He's done it.
GRAHAM STEVENS: Your winner and advancing to the semi-finals of the Emerald City Classic...BRYAN BLAZE!
CHARLES HUDSON: How can it be an upset when Bryan Blaze said he was going to win from the beginning...
Bryan Blaze rolls over and takes a knee looking down into his clinched up fists overjoyed with excitement when the referee approaches him lifting his arm in victory while his music begins playing.
While Blaze is celebrating and exiting the ring Samantha Kinsley makes her way out onto the stage holding a microphone waiting on Blaze to make his way up the aisle and join her for a comment on the match.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Blaze...What a way to kick off the show...James Edwards the former Heavyweight and current Pride Champion loses in an upset to Bryan Blaze!
BRYAN BLAZE: Don't act surprised Sammie! It's not that big of a surprise....everyone seems to forget that I'm a former World Champion myself. I knew I could beat James Edwards and I did...
Blaze turns and walks behind the curtain as the show fades to COMMERCIAL BREAK with the last look of a defeated James Edwards exiting the ring.
