MAINSTREAM WRESTLING
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
★★★ HAMMERSTEIN (C) ★★★
vs
★★★ CYRUS RIDDLE ★★★
The bell rings and the Main Event is now underway! Hammerstein and Riddle step to the center of the ring and go forehead to forehead, nose to nose. Riddle takes a half step back, but only to get enough distance to slap the taste out of the mouth of The Mainstream World Champion. Hammerstein rubs his cheek, smiling at Cyrus, then charges Riddle, driving him into the corner. The American Monster delivers a barrage of closed fists to the body that doubles Cyrus over. Riddle stumbles out of the corner, still doubled over, and Hammerstein tags him with a running knee strike to the side of the head that sends him to the mat.
Riddle returns to his feet and unleashes an arsenal of strikes on Hammerstein. A jab, left hook, spinning back fist, then a jumping knee to the face! As Hammerstein reels on the ropes, Riddle hits the other side and returns with a clothesline over the top. Without hesitation he runs to the opposite side once more, jumping onto Hammerstein just as he gets to his feet, leaving him on the mat outside the ring.
Riddle springs back up and is pumped up. He grabs Hammerstein from the head and pulls him to his feet but it’s Hammer who lands a right hand to the midsection of Riddle! Hammer rolls Riddle into the ring and follows him back inside. Hammerstein has Riddle at a distinct disadvantage in the corner. The American Monster lands a series of chops to tattooed chest of The Impaler. Hammerstein goes for an Irish Whip across the ring, but Riddle reverses and sends the Champion hard into the corner. As soon as he hits the turnbuckles, Hammerstein storms out of the corner attempts a clothesline but Riddle ducks under and rushes across the ring stepping up the turnbuckles to the top rope.
Riddle scales the top rope, but Hammerstein attempts to thwart the offense by running and delivering a hard right hand to The Impaler’s face. Riddle pauses, but comes back strong with a downward boot to the neck of Hammerstein. As he turns, Riddle bends down and hooks the head, showcasing his strength by lifting Hammerstein up into a modified dragon sleeper

Riddle breaks right before the five count! The referee separates the two men while Hammerstein is getting back to his feet. He attempts a running clothesline in the corner, but Riddle rolls to the side to dodge. Like a predator, Riddle stalks Hammerstein momentarily before locking him up and delivering a cradle Suplex right into the corner! Not one to relent, Riddle immediately picks up Hammerstein with an intensity the crowd can feel, lifting him into a dominator position, then piledriver!!! As Above So Below!!!! He makes the cover for 1…2…NEARFALL!
Hammerstein gets the shoulder up! Riddle looks stunned as he confirms the near fall with the official, snarling at the realization of victory missed. Riddle stalks the World Heavyweight Champion until Hammerstein is back standing in the center of the ring. Riddle hits Hammerstein with a hard forearm to the jaw, which Jacob returns in kind with a forearm of his own. Back and forth the two fighters go, exchanging forearm shots.
The longer it goes, the more intensity is put behind each shot. Hammerstein hits Riddle with a particularly hard forearm to the jaw, which rocks the challenger. Hammerstein lays another shot in, followed by another, and another, which has Riddle on spaghetti legs. The American Monster puts his hand around the back of Riddle's head, pulls it down, and uncorks with a European Uppercut forearm that send him into the ropes. Hammerstein wastes no time, charging Riddle and takes him over the top rope with a Cactus Clothesline!
A frustrated Riddle lifts Hammerstein up and sits him on the ring apron, Riddle backs up and nails him in the back of the head with a seated Daydreamer! Then another! And one more for good measure! Riddle frantically grabs Hammerstein and pulls hun up slowly rolling him back into the ring and he goes for a desperation cover for 1...2...NEARFALL!
He is completely at a loss for words and he begins to laugh and nod. Riddle has Hammerstein down on the mat and stomps his head. The Impaler pulls him up from the mat and goes for a vertical suplex. Hammerstein floats over, goes behind Riddle, and takes him over with a German Hammerplex. Hammerstone rolls over, still grasping Riddle, and takes him over again with another German Hammerplex. The Mainstream World Champion pulls him up for another Hammerplex, but Cyrus blocks it. Hammerstein tries again, but Riddle blocks it again. Hammerstein clubs him in the back several times, then throws him into the corner with a release German Hammerplex!
Riddle lands hard in the turnbuckle with Hammerstein down on the floor from the throw. Riddle appears unphased with an angry look on his face. The two exhausted combatants stand face to face in the center of the ring, almost as if to signify a last stand for their declaration of victory on this monumental night. Hammerstein connects with a forearm to Riddle. Riddle returns the forearm, the thuds against each man’s head being heard by the crowd. The forearms become more frequent, more thunderous! Riddle gains the upper hand… he reels Hammerstein into the ropes, delivers another jumping knee, then a European uppercut. The force bounces Hammerstein off the ropes and Riddle ducks down, putting his adversary on his shoulders. Riddle screams the words “new f***in’ champ!” just as he delivers a picture perfect Go To Sleep!!! The energy of the move forcing him to collapse onto Hammerstein as he hits the mat, falling into position for the 1...2…BREAK!
Hammerstein’s hand is barely breaking the plane of the ring, forcing a stop count!!! Riddle shakes his head as he looks over, having given every ounce of energy he had to finish the champion off to no avail. Riddle grabs Hammerstein from under the arm and around the head and is literally dragging him to his feet. Hammerstein is playing possum! He comes up strong with a block to Riddle’s right hand! Riddle blocks a right hand from Hammerstein!
The two stand looking at one another face to face just as they have many times in this match and the two begin trading blows! Hammerstein goes for his patented overhand right, but The Impaler drops to a knee and buries his fist into The American Monster's midsection, followed up with an uppercut that wobbles him. Riddle springs into action, picking Hammerstein up for As Above So Below. Hammerstein pulls Riddle's hands apart and slides across his shoulder. Riddle turns around just in time to catch a boot to the gut from Hammerstein. The Champion picks Cyrus up and drives his head into the mat with The Hammersteiner. Jacob crawls on top of Riddle as the referee counts 1...2...3!

GRAHAM STEVENS: Your winner by pin fall AND STILL Mainstream Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion...HAMMERSTEIN!
Hammerstein rolls off Riddle, exhausted. The American Monster pulls himself to his feet, reaching for the World Heavyweight Championship that is in the referee's hand. He rips it from the referee's grasp, then demands the microphone from Graham Stevens.
CHARLES HUDSON:
MCKAYLA LEWIS:
Hammerstein watches as Riddle is helped out of the ring and begins walking unassisted up the ramp. He walks over and leans on the top rope, the World Heavyweight Championship in his left hand and a microphone in the other. He grins as he watches Riddle walk through the curtain rubbing the back of his head.
HAMMERSTEIN: Hey...Riddle...do me a favor and make sure everybody in the back is listening to what I have to say, ok? Thanks.
The American Monster waits a couple of seconds before continuing.
HAMMERSTEIN: Now that was the first of many successful title defenses. The last time I held this championship, when I elevated it to World status, I set a mark that no one has been able to duplicate. I defended the it more than anyone else, before or since. I took it (Hammerstein holds the belt out towards the camera.) to other territories, to other companies, and I successfully defended it against the best they had. I set a pace that NO champion since has been able to compare.
The Champion runs his forearm across his eyes, wiping the sweat from them.
HAMMERSTEIN: Since nobody can seemingly one-up me, I'll have to one-up myself. I'm gonna exceed my first reign, in duration and in number of defenses. I'm not ducking anybody. You wanna make your mark? You have your chance!
“Cyrus Riddle was first...”
“Who's next?”
Hammerstein steps backwards to the center of the ring and holds the World Heavyweight Championship in the air.
The studio lights suddenly go down, and a Trollface appears on the big screen.
problem?
"DOESN'T TAKE MUCH AND THAT'S MESSED UP
BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE DO A LOT OF SIMPLE SHIT TO IMPRESS US!"
MCKAYLA LEWIS: It’s Mariano Fernandez!
"... YOU CAN'T ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS IF YOU DON'T TAKE THAT CHANCE
SO GO PRY OPEN THAT TRUNK AND GET THOSE AMPS, YOU KNOW-"
The lights come back on, and after a huge pyro blast, Mariano is standing at the stage entrance, posing to the fans in attendance going wild. He then lifts the microphone up to his mouth as the music fades out.
MARIANO FERNANDEZ: Hey yo, you need a challenge? I got a challenge for you right here, mang. How’s about you try and stop DA #TROLLGUY from finishing the year the same way I started it with that World Heavyweight Championship strapped around my waist...
HAMMERSTEIN: Challenge Accepted...
Hammerstein flips the microphone as his music begins playing loudly throughout the studio.
CHARLES HUDSON: Well, it looks like we know what the Main Event for MAINSTREAM 58 is going to be on New Years Eve...
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Hammerstein will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against former two time champ Mariano Fernandez on New Years Eve! Ladies and Gentlemen that’s all for tonight. Happy Holidays and from our family to yours we hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
