ENVY
WEDNESDAY - 03/08/2017
Golden 1 Center - Sacramento, California
EARLIER TODAY...
An unmistakable voice speaks...
DEXTER SEVERIN: I am the reckoning, Boo.
The POV camera, again assumedly attached to Dexter’s head, goes through a set of double doors. The halls in Seattle are bustling with activity as the crew gets ready for Envy.
DEXTER SEVERIN: I told you that your hubris would bring you down. I told you that I would remind remind the world of just how big of a piece of shit you were.
The camera sees people setting up booths, people with armfuls of chairs heading towards the center, venders stocking. The camera stops next to a cotton candy both. Dexter chuckles, the camera moving back and forth as he shakes his head.
DEXTER SEVERIN: Benny never saw me coming. Jan never saw me coming. You guys didn’t even realize until I let them show me that I was dining with Blake. And now I put truth to the idea I will be here, too. ‘Any and all,’ Boo? Big mistake.
The camera sees several Seattle Pro wrestlers in their street clothes, various people showing up early. One of them happens to have bleached spiked hair and is stuffing a taco into his bearded mouth. Hammerstein’s eyes open in surprise. A hand enters the camera in the shape of a fist: The two buddies exchange a fistbump. Somewhere in the distance, a hawk cries.
DEXTER SEVERIN: I’m gonna take everything away from you, Boo. Gonna take it all. All your lies. Your entire facade. While Ash is walking around saying that this is the Year of the Scion, I’m going to make sure everyone remembers 2017 as the Year of the Foote Getting Her Ass Kicked. Put a hashtag on that, luv.
The camera continues and finds, standing tall and square, the Seattle Pro Heavyweight Champion, James Edwards.
DEXTER SEVERIN: ‘Sup, Crybaby!
The champion smirks.
JAMES EDWARDS: Hello, Nothing. What are you doing here?
DEXTER SEVERIN: Same as always, man. Got my Sasha-kicking boots on.
Edwards whistles and shakes his head.
JAMES EDWARDS: Like gasoline on a fire.
The camera gets closer and Dex, doing something that observant wrestling fans would be shocked by, extends his hand. After a moment, Edwards takes it. They shake. Then Dex pulls him in close. The two stare at one another, but then Dex gives him an exaggerated wink. Edwards can only shake his head and he walks off into the background where only SPW talent can enter the building.
DEXTER SEVERIN: Can you feel it, Sasha? Feel the impending doom? Its gonna be great. See ya soon...
