IN RING...
No music plays. Nothing is properly done for their entrance but AJ Knight and Billy Danielson step out with Jason Cashe, held up by his arms stretched out at his sides. His feet dragging behind him as they let him go, he collapses onto the stage. A barely recovered Bryan Blaze steps onto Cashe's back, stepping over him. Danielson and Knight grab him by his arms and just drag him towards the ring.
Finding some fight left in him, Cashe tugs to free his arm. Blaze, hanging last on the train towards the ring, gingerly stomps into Cashe's lower back. They get him to ringside as Billy and AJ lift him and roll him under the ropes. Blaze gingerly roams around the ring and grabs a few steel chairs, sliding them under the ropes. They bounce a bit as Cashe tries to reach out for one. Danielson and Knight enter the ring, then Blaze rolls in as he puts a boot to the side of Cashe's lifted face. The DiOGee crashes flat again. Knight grabs a microphone and casually climbs the steps at the corner post before ducking between the ropes to enter the ring with his fellow Franchise team mates.
AJ KNIGHT: Didn’t Cashe say that he doesn't always seek trouble, that trouble finds him?
Passing the microphone off to Billy Danielson who grins with a touch of laughter. Turning to see Cashe glazed eyes staring up at him.
BILLY DANIELSON: Well, Jason, you’re going to wish it was trouble that found you tonight, because instead we found you, and we’ve got a bit of a message to send. From us, by us, for ALL of Mainstream Wrestling and it's current Owner…
Handing the mic over to a desheveled and battle weary Blaze with some aggression, Billy snatches Cashe up and lifts him in an Inverted Crucifix, he snaps down and Cashe folds upon the Bomb impact as Billy successfully hits hit finisher called 'The Franchise'.
BRYAN BLAZE: Ohhh that looked PAINFUL!
Jumping with excitement, AJ Knight points at himself. He wants next. Danielson motions and steps aside. Knight slides like he was rounding home, next to Cashe, he flips him into position and locks in his 'Templar Stretch' and you can feel Cashe's screams echoing throughout the building. Danielson gets Knight's attention before running and hitting the far ropes. Knight slips his hands around Cashe's face down to hold the submission at his chin. Billy comes in, faster in each stride. He shoots a knee as he aims and connects a 'Chicago Blackout' to Cashe's forehead. His left eyebrow taking most of it, cuts a bit as blood trickles from its furry line. Knight lets go of the submission. All three members of The Franchise stand center of the ring.
Suddenly, A.J. Morales comes running down to the ring. He pleads with his obligated cohorts not to do any more damage to The DiOGee, but his pleas fall on deaf ears. The champion gets into the ring. He tells them it’s enough, but instead, Knight just grabs the microphone.
AJ KNIGHT: What's wrong, Morales? You should be glad we’re doing this. We are the ones at your side. I don’t see anybody coming to Cashe’s aide! If this were you, we’d rush down to save you, but nobody is going to save Jason.
Danielson takes the microphone and gets real close to Cashe’s face.
BILLY DANIELSON: That’s right, Cashe. Where is your backup? Huh? Where is Manny, aren't you two friends? What about Hammerstein? I'm pretty sure you have come to his aide haven't you?"
Pulling the microphone away from Danielson, Bryan Blaze adds to the growing obvious point.
BRYAN BLAZE: Did your Sister come to visit this show? No? You successfully beat a former two-time world champion, but she didn’t come to see you wrestle. It’s okay, I wouldn't want to see you either…
AJ KNIGHT: That's because his 'friends' view him the same way popular kids in highschool date fat girls or ride mopeds. They don’t mind being with him, so long as nobody sees them with him, because they’re ashamed of him!
BILLY DANIELSON: But you don’t have to worry, A.J.! Because YOU have friends. You don’t have to worry about things like this, because we would never let another member of the Franchise Down! In fact we did this FOR YOU!!!
Morales looks confused. Danielson then claps really loud, signaling a giant banner to fall saying “CONGRATULATIONS, ANDREW ON YOUR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!” Some balloons and confetti fall as well. Bryan and Knight clap, but Morales is still having trouble processing all of this.
AJ KNIGHT: Andy, buddy, for better or worse, you’re a member of The Franchise. You winning the Mainstream World Championship may have seen like a travesty at first, but you holding that title, keeps it in this group, and builds our prestige as 4 World champions, two grand slam champions, and two triple crown champions. Plus it’s not like you pinned Billy, so no big deal, right?
Billy nods, indicating that there are no hard feelings since Billy wasn’t pinned for the title. The Franchise clap for Morales and A.J. still looks rather uncomfortable as they come in for a group hug. Cashe wobbly pushes off the canvas in a push up. Morales points at him and snickers.
AJ KNIGHT: Look at him trying! Let us get on with the message shall we?
The microphone drops and Blaze, Knight, and Danielson stand around Cashe and begin stomping into him. Morales bends down and grabs his wildly long head of hair, pulling up as Danielson and Knight help with the arms. They throw him back against the ropes and begin rolling his arms into the top and middle ropes. Locking him in place was part of the message. Now he droops down, hung extended at the arms, his eyes heavy but open as he stares ahead at the three members of The Franchise.
Danielson turns and picks up the microphone. He doesn't use it to talk into as he cuts back and spikes Cashe with the end of it. Billy aimed at the already damaged eyebrow or hit near it by instinct. Cashe bounced but his locked in arms kept him up. Knight picks up both the folded steel steps he threw in. He hands one to Blaze. They turn towards Cashe and Danielson with the mic in hand, gets the center of the main camera.
BILLY DANIELSON: This mongrel has said that he is MARRIED to this business, to this very ring! He is next in line for YOUR championship, Andrew, and he says he’s coming for it, but WE WON’T LET HIM!
AJ KNIGHT: Mainstream has screwed over a lot of talent. Robb Daniels has screwed over a lot of talent. Each of us has been scorned by Robb Daniels, and though we may have feuded in the past, it’s that bond between our legacies and our hatred for Robb that has brought us together, the very pillars and foundation of this company.
BRYAN BLAZE: And now, we can’t let that happen to you, Junior. We can’t Robb’s lap dogs, like this piece of shit laying at our feet, stop you from bringing US success. Every moment you have that title, The Franchise is proven to be the best, just like when Billy had that title before you. By helping you and celebrating you, we ensure that The Franchise is held above every other wrestler, team, and champion in this company.
BILLY DANIELSON: And if that means making sure your contenders have trouble walking out of the building week after week, show after show, and I am ABSOLUTELY okay with that. Robb Daniels thinks he’s foiled us, but he has only made us stronger. Tonight, as we celebrate you and your championship, because at the end of the night it proves that WE ARE MAINSTREAM, not lap dogs like Jason Cashe. Speaking of...
In a growing rage, Danielson spins around and dives at Cashe. Repeatedly pounding the mic into his forehead and face until more blood stood than clean flesh. Cashe was drooling and the saliva was mixed with blood as he kneeled slumped in unconsciousness. The microphone had a drip or two of blood as Danielson came off the attack breathing heavy. He nods and moves across the ring away from the scene as Bryan Blaze and AJ Knight take turns stepping into headshots to Cashe with the steel chairs in their hands. The banging echoes loud gunshots. Blood was pooling on the canvas as Cashe looked like a murder victim.
Leaning against the far ropes away from Cashe. Billy Danielson waited until the clanking shots of the chairs went silent. When Blaze and Knight stepped up to his side, all looking at the camera. Billy looks at A.J., who reluctantly looks back at Danielson. Billy nods at Morales and hands him a chair. Morales clearly doesn’t want to do this, but the 2 ½ on 1 situation didn’t look good for him. Gritting his teeth, Morales takes the chair and walks over to Cashe.
He raises the chair, and hits Cashe across the top of the head, making him fall limp once more. Mostly all smiles from the members of The Franchise.
BILLY DANIELSON: THAT’S OUR WORLD CHAMPION RIGHT THERE!!! That is how you show this company and your challengers your worth. You don’t waiver and you never stop doing what NEEDS to be done. The Franchise did not die with my title loss! We will not be force fed BULLSHIT because Robb thinks he is playing chess with checker pieces. We are the Mount Rushmore of Mainstream and we run this company! This is our ring, and A.J. … so long as you have that title, you will ALWAYS be safe from the atrocities that can happen in this company.
Billy and Knight grab A.J. by either arm and lift him high in the air, onto their shoulders. Morales at first thinks that they’re attacking him, but realizes quickly it’s a real honest to goodness shoulder lift from “friends”. Bryan claps as Morales’ music is queued up and they all stand and celebrate over the bloodied Jason Cashe. Balloons and confetti continue to fall as the segment fades to black.
