As the bell sounds Tedmund and Cartier circle one another. They’ve been here before, they know each other well, which explains their caution as they tie up and Tedmund marches Cartier into the corner before the referee breaks it up. Tedmund’s grin tells the story, he knows he’s stronger but Cartier doesn’t care she storms out of the corner and locks right back up. This time as Ted marches her back Cartier stomps on his foot and marches him back into a corner! Now she’s smiling and Ted is heated; screaming at the referee about the foot stomp. As he barks at him Cartier slaps Ted across the face and he falls through the ropes and to the apron.
Ted is shook, but he keeps screaming at the referee about the stomp and now the slap! He doesn’t see Cartier charging in for the ki- NO! Ted dodges it and Cartier is hung up in the ropes and eats a knee for it. As she stumbles back into the ring Ted slips in and executes a great double leg before locking in a front headlock with a sprawl. This front headlock is obnoxious, the fans hate it. The referee is even bored with it, but Cartier can’t escape.
She rolls back and forth and he goes with it. Her last ditch effort was her slipping under the bottom rope to the floor BUT HE WENT WITH HER! Which might have been her plan all along as she drove him back first into the apron breaking the front headlock and once again slapping the taste out of his mouth before heading back into the ring while Ted recovered and complained about the slaps trying to find sympathy from the crowd!
Tedmund Montgomery slides back into the ring and he approaches Cartier whom is laughing at the World Television Champion, each one well aware of what the other is capable of inside the squared circle. Montgomery feigns a tie up attempt and instead drops down low looking for a single leg. Cartier is keen to it, though, lifting her foot from the mat circling off.
This time when Tedmund comes in, the tie up is legit - he locks in collar and elbow style with Cartier, tight up against her. Cartier, rather than playing his technical game, decides to open up the brawling with a stiff headbutt to the bridge of Tedmund’s nose. Tedmund hits the canvas hard with watering eyes, but he has the wherewithal to roll Cartier up when she leans in to grab him for 1…2…KOCKOUT!
Cartier kicks out, but this main event almost ended in record time! Cartier scouts a clothesline from Tedmund and ducks it, spinning him back toward her and snagging him for a suplex - Tedmund turns his hips, though, and stops his upward momentum enough to plant his feet back on the ground, turn himself so his back is facing the near corner, and then executes a snap suplex of his own that sends Cartier’s spine ricocheting off of the corner turnbuckles.
Cartier’s snared, her foot caught under the top rope, and Tedmund recognizes the chances to take a short lap before running in with a baseball slide to Cartier’s face! Montgomery slides to the outside and grabs Cartier’s chin, cinching back with a Camel Clutch variant through the ropes until the official breaks it with a five count. The referee admonishes Tedmund but Tedmund rightly points out that he released the hold before the five count, so it was technically legal. The discussion gives Cartier enough time to pull herself up to the top rope, though, and when Tedmund turns back to her he’s met with a huge flying meteora that pins his shoulders down for 1…2…KICKOUT!
Montgomery kicks out hard holding to the back of his head as Cartier is surprised. Cartier remains on the offensive and grabs Tedmund pulling him up but he lands a kick to the leg and forearm to the chest as the two tie up, and Cartier moves quickly into a side headlock taking him down but Ted quickly had a reversal ready with a head scissors that Cartier kipped out of. Tedmund ties back up and looks to trade side headlocks but he hip tosses her instead keeping his feet. She almost looks offended as she kips up again but she charges a ducking Tedmund then ducks him and heads off another set of ropes before WRECKING Ted with a spear!
Now she’s talking trash and her usual tongue out taunts, Ted looks up at her holding his mid section as she gets him up off the mat and lands a huge pump handle bomb before wasting no time lifting him up again and heading off the ropes before making him EAT THIS A- NO! Ted ducks and PELE KICK?! WHAT?! Cartier stumbles into the corner and Tedmund points to his head, guess old dogs learn new tricks. Tedmund hangs Cartier in the tree of woe and takes his time landing strikes to her mid section. But when he runs in looking for a basement drop kick Cartier sits up! ANOTHER METEORA from the top!
Cartier falls to the mat looking to catch a second wind! Tedmund Montgomery is visibly upset looks to push himself up and go after his challenger but Cartier has the same idea and comes looking for Tedmund with her fist balled up for a coldcock, but Tedmund is the one who sends a quick straight punch to Cartier’s jaw before she can close the gap, shocking her with the brawling tactics outside of his usual playbook. Montgomery keeps the heat on, sending wild punch after wild punch and hitting paydirt each time, until Cartier catches one fit and then the other in midair almost out of desperation. She shakes the fuzziness away and then twists Tedmund around, tying him in a straightjacket swinging neckbreaker! She can’t follow up though, as Montgomery is already back up fast, stabbing her from behind with an asiatic spike that has her flailing and looking for an escape.
Montgomery transitions by pulling her backwards onto his shoulders, looking for his patented Operation Rolling Thunder, but Cartier manages to escape and roll through onto her feet. Turning, Tedmund is caught on his side with a lateral lungblower, and he goes down clutching his ribs. Cartier stomps with both feet onto Tedmund’s splayed fingers, and when he sits up howling she grabs him by his coif and pulls him to a vertical base.. She hits the ropes running and rebounds at high speed, and Montgomery steps forward and pops her up in the air, setting up a powerbomb, but catching a mouthful of EAT THIS ASS instead! Cartier turned and drove her ample posterior straight down onto Tedmund mid-flight! Cartier hooks a leg for 1…2…NEARFALL!
He got the shoulder up from just in the nick of time! Cartier thought she had it! Tedmund Montgomery rolls over to his knees and begins wiping his face and scraping his tongue with his taped fingers as if it’s really going to help! He’s been on the receiving end of more “asses eaten” than anyone in Mainstream Wrestling this year. Blessing or a curse you decide. Cartier is up and she SLAPS the taste out of his mouth and knocks him down to take a seat. This time Ted nods and leaves the ring and HES GRABBING TWO CHAIRS?! THESE ARENT THE RULES!? He gets into the ring and… sets them up in the middle?! Ted takes a seat and welcomes Cartier to do the same.
The referee is unsure of what he’s watching, he nearly took the chairs from Ted as he got in. Ted leans forward as Cartier sits down and tells her to slap him. He begs her to slap him and she does, nearly taking him out of the chair. She’s laughing her ass off as he begs her to do it again. Cartier tees off on Ted and doesn’t stop just continuously slapping Ted across the face turning his cheek a dark shade of red and she shows no signs of sto- TED LOCKS IN A CROSSFACE! TED BAITED HER! CARTIER MIGHT TA-NO! Cartier’s foot found the ropes!
————————————
The official separates the red faced World Television Champion from his challenger and the Champion rolls out of the ring seemingly pumping himself up to mask the pain he’s feeling from the repeated slaps to his face. Montgomery takes a moment on the outside of the ring and walks around it until the count of eight. When he slips back in under the top rope, Cartier runs at him. Tedmund slides right back out and grabs her by the foot, tripping her up onto her back and then slamming her thigh down on the apron.
Cartier screeches and grabs at her knee pad,and it gives Tedmund all day to roll into the ring and start dropping precision knees onto her torso and shoulders like he’s shooting clays with a rifle. Cartier has no defense other than to give up her back and try to escape on her hands and knees, and Tedmund takes advantage by catching her in an Oklahoma Roll… and Cartier somehow squirms loose and applies a short-arm scissors to Tedmund’s left limb! Tedmund is obviously caught off guard by the technical move, and his face is a series of painful grimaces and groans as he looks to take the pressure off of his entangled arm. Finally he muscles her up off the mat and stands up to drop her in a powerbomb, but Cartier releases the arm and sits out with a falling facebuster that has Tedmund seeing stars.
She sees her opening and runs the ropes, connecting with the Empire State of Mind! Tedmund flops onto his back and Cartier leaps onto him with a pinfall for 1…2…BREAK!
Tedmund’s foot is on the bottom rope! The referee stops the count and Cartier thinks she’s won it, but her hopes are dashed when the official points to Tedmund’s foot, still sitting on the rope. Cartier can’t believe it!
