MAINSTREAM WRESTLING
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
★★★ BILLY DANIELSON (C) ★★★
vs
★★★ BRYAN FORD ★★★
The bell rings and Danielson reaches out his hand for a handshake, but Ford doesn’t trust it. Danielson commands Bryan to shake his hand, but Ford still doesn’t go for it, claiming that h isn’t stupid. Danielson tries one more time, all but yelling at Ford to shake his hand, but Bryan decides to initiate a lock up instead, and spins behind the Champion locking in a waistlock. Billy throws an elbow though and catches Ford in the face creating space! Billy runs towards the ropes bouncing off but is blasted by a dropkick from Ford who backflips off Billy and lands on his feet! Danielson stumbles into the ropes, and Ford looks to hit a BFord & After kick, but Danielson ducks him, low bridges the ropes, and sends Ford over the top rope. Ford steadies himself on the apron and springboards off the top rope, but Danielson catches Ford by the neck. This makes Ford land on his feet, as Danielson just lets go of him and wags his finger condescendingly.
They circle the ring, and Ford tries to shoot for a takedown, but Danielson catches him with a headlock. Danielson delivers a series of knee lifts to the head and torso of Ford. He then begins to spin Ford around via the headlock, whipping him around like a ragdoll, before stopping and hitting a quick snap suplex on the challenger. Danielson gets his feet and walks around as Ford tries to collect himself. Billy waits for Ford to get to his feet, before charging at him with a clothesline, but Ford ducks under! He grabs onto the arm of Danielson with one hand, and uses the momentum to spin Danielson around. Once he has Danielson’s back, he leaps up and connects with a backstabber! Ford tries for a cover, but Danielson kicks out too quickly to get any true momentum.
Bryan lifts Danielson up to his feet, and delivers a series of chops to the chest of the champion. Ford whips Billy into the corner, and runs at him looking for a splash. Danielson catches him as Ford leaps into the air, looking for Imperium, but Ford is able to elbow his way out of the ura nage. Ford stumbles back, realizing he almost got caught, but it gives Danielson the opening he needs to begin his barrage of knee strikes! First Chicago Blackout of the night is a good old fashioned v-trigger styled knee that sends Bryan into the corner. Danielson goes from there to hit another big running knee in the corner, before hooking the head and hitting a bulldog to plant the challenger.
Danielson begins to stomp on Ford’s legs and lower back. Ford tries to crawl away, but Danielson drops a knee at the base of the spine. Billy grabs one of Bryan’s legs and just pulls it back into a single leg boston crab! Danielson has Ford far enough from the ropes that it’s just out of reach. Ford claws and climbs and is able to get Danielson to lose his footing a bit, so that Ford can reach out and grab the bottom rope. Billy let’s go after a 4 count and as Ford is getting to knees, he dumps his opponent over the bottom rope to the outside. Ford tries to get back into the ring, but Danielson comes at the ropes with a hip attack, making Bryan jump off the apron at the last second.
Danielson continues to keep Bryan Ford from entering the ring. At around the 6 count, Danielson pokes his head through the middle and top ropes to taunt Ford, just to eat a jumping palm strike to the jaw. Danielson is stunned long enough for Ford to get on the apron and hit a sunset flip into the pin! 1… 2.. No! Danielson kicks out. Billy gets to his feet, but Bryan rolls Billy back up with a school boy! 1… 2…. NO!!! Again Billy Manages to kick out at 2! Ford then hits a small package pin, hoping for “third time's the charm”! 1… 2… AGAIN THE CHAMP KICKS OUT! Both men get to their feet, but Danielson is slow from all the ups and downs of the pin attempts, so Ford is able to capitalize. He hits an enziguri onto the side of Billy’s head! Bryan backs up then comes full speed with a spear!
Ford gets to his feet, and stumbles back into the corner to catch his breath. In the corner, Ford is waiting for the Champion to get to his feet. He looks to once again finish this match, running up with a Bford & After bicycle kick as Billy gets to his feet, but Danielson manages to duck the kick! Ford turns around and both men connect with vicious haymakers. Both men drop to the mat to recover. They both get to their feet, and Danielson tries for a double axe handle, but Ford goes underneath. A rebound off the ropes, and Ford rushes towards Danielso- NO!!! Danielson catches him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! Ford bounces off with spasms as Danielson goes to the ropes and catches his bearings.
Danielson sees Ford trying to get up out of the corner of his eye, and is able to halt him with another Chicago Blackout to the back of the head! Ford goes down, but Danielson picks him back up. He drags Ford to the corner and lays him, belly up, between the middle and top rope. Danielson takes a couple of steps back, and delivers another Chicago Blackout, this time to the back of the laying Ford. Danielson holds Ford in the corner and delivers multiple knees to the back as the referee counts away. Danielson walks away at the 4 count, and even lets Ford get to his feet, before spearing Ford into the corner, driving the back into the turnbuckles as he does. The referee pulls Danielson off of Ford, and Bryan falls to the mat. Danielson goes for the cover. 1… 2… Kickout by Ford!!!
Billy pulls Bryan out to the middle of the ring, and stands on Ford’s back for a moment, before running towards the ropes for a knee dro- NO!!! Ford finds energy and rolls away onto his feet. Danielson grabs his knee, as Bryan sweeps the leg, making the champion fall to the mat. Bryan looks at the downed Billy and runs towards the ropes moonsaults off the middle but Billy gets a boot up! Somehow Ford scouts it though and hooks onto the ankle while planting on his feet. Ford applies an ankle lock and manages to turn the Champion over onto his stomach. Ford then wraps his legs around Billy's to help assist the submission. Danielson is lucky enough to use his strength and climb to the ropes, but not without Ford giving Danielson a taste of his own medicine and waiting a full 4 count before letting go.
Billy tries to get up, but Ford is right there with a series of strikes that keeps the champion at bay. Code breaker takes Danielson to a knee, and Ford starts rallying behind himself to get more energy. He runs towards the ropes, looking for a springboard move, but Danielson is able to run with Ford and trip him up as he tries to leap onto the ropes. Danielson uses the ropes to get extra leverage, as he stomps not once, not twice, but three times on one of the ankles of Ford. Ford grabs at his leg and rolls away to the outside. He quickly takes his wrestling boot off, and checks to see if Danielson might’ve broken his ankle, but before anyone could check on him professionally, Danielson slides to the outside as well, and tries for another Chicago Blackout, but Ford is able to roll out of the way for this one!
Ford shakes off the ankle injury for now, and tries to get away, but Danielson lands some sick punches to the kidney. Ford is able to time his punches though, and spin around Danielson, throwing him into the ring post. Danielson rests on the post for a second, but Ford follows up with a superkick with his barefoot! Ford realizes this opportunity and rolls Danielson into the ring. He starts to clap for momentum, but realizes there are no fans to clap along, so he just kind of hypes himself up for a moment as Danielson stumbles to his feet. Oblivious Billy turns around, into the fireman’s carry! He’s looking for Sudden Silence, but between the damage done to his lower back and his injured ankle, he can’t find the strength to lift Danielson over his head for the knee strike, so he settles for a modified samoan drop! Ford covers! 1… 2… Kickout by Danielson.
Billy crawls over towards the corner, and gets to his feet, but Ford is right there on him with a European Uppercut to knock him out! Ford says he’s had enough of this, and runs all the way around the ring, looking for a huge high impact BFord & After, BUT AGAIN Danielson is able to get out of the way of the kick and Ford’s barefoot goes over the top rope, almost crotching him in the corner! Billy throws his arm across Ford’s chest, looking like he might go for Imperium, but then he brings his knee up at the last second and turns it into a back breaker! Ford looks out of it, as Danielson stalks him, hitting a Put Over Superman punch, similar to the way A.J. Morales does his Liberator! Billy goes for the cover 1… 2… Danielson gets up from the pin, and shakes his head saying “not good enough”. He then lifts Ford up, and delivers The Franchise for the 1… 2… 3!!!

CHARLES HUDSON: Did Danielson do a little ode to A.J. Morales over there?
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Indeed I think he did, Chuck, and then I think he said it wasn't good enough. He was certainly sending a message to The Revolution.
But wait! “Rise Up” by Testament hits the PA, and A.J. Morales comes flying down the ramp! He heads straight for Danielson, and in an instant, they’ve got each other by the throat, hockey-punching like madmen! Billy eventually shoves A.J. back and goes for a Chicago Blackout, which misses, but it gets the Revolution to sidestep and clear Danielson’s path to leave the ring. The GOAT takes that chance and slides out under the bottom rope, but doesn’t realize Morales is still pursuing until—TOPE SUICIDA! MAMMA MIA! That dive sends Billy crashing into the barricade! Danielson is down, and he’s seeing stars!
A.J. Morales kips back up to his feet and spots the World Heavyweight Championship belt, which Billy inadvertently dropped on his way out of the ring. The Revolution reaches over to grab it, holds it up for the camera, and reasserts his claim as the man who beat the man—and he vows that, at Mainstream 43, in that lucha de apuestas, he’ll tear down the Franchise and become the undisputed world champion that Mainstream deserves.
Morales puts the belt back on the apron where he found it, approaches Danielson like he’s going to finish him off...and then gives Billy the A.I. stepover!
A.J. Knight rushes the ring as Morales ducks under the bottom rope. Knight lifts the World Heavyweight Championship and helps Billy up to fasten it around his waist.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Morales is walking away! Billy knows A.J.’s throwing the disrespect back in his face, but he’s too tired to give chase.
CHARLES HUDSON: All Billy can do for now is imagine the scenes in two weeks, once he wins and Morales has to go from waging war on the Franchise to joining it!
Danielson now standing in the ring is furious! Both Danielson and Knight watch Morales walks behind the curtain with his back to them in the ultimate sign of disrespect. The two Franchise members look down at Ford, who is trying to get to his feet. They begin to walk towards him, and corner him. Ford looks ready to fight, but Danielson still breathing heavily just extends his hand to give him a ‘consolation-prize’ styled handshake. Ford takes the hand, a bit wary of the two "bad guys" standing there, but The Franchise team seems to be genuine here.
As Ford leaves the ring, A.J. Knight pulls a microphone from who knows where, and hands it to Billy.
BILLY DANIELSON: You see...everyone at home, and in the back...A.J. Morales is a coward! I walked out on him when I could have hooked his leg for the three count. He walked out on me after an ambush! Now Bryan Ford was my hand-picked opponent and he is a competitor that deserved this match and gave it his all. Now—That was a match that the people wanted to see, not like whatever bulls*** Robb Daniels has been cooking up the past year or so. That's what the people want from Mainstream, and once I makes sure A.J. Morales is my personal whipping boy in a couple weeks, I promise to lead this company into it's next great era, and with my good friend, A.J. Knight, by my side, not even Robb Daniels can stop us! We control the narrative, because we...are The Franchise of Mainstream Wrestling!!!
Danielson drops the mic and both men raise their hands as their music plays to close out the show.
