MAINSTREAM WRESTLING IS LIVE FROM SEATTLE, WASHINGTON AND WE’RE INSIDE THE MAINSTREAM WRESTLING STUDIO!
We go to the backstage interview area, where Samantha Kinsley is on standby.
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the reigning three-time World Heavyweight Champion, Billy Danielson!
Billy strolls into the frame with the belt slung over his shoulder, making sure to get the
SAMANTHA KINSLEY: Billy, what was going through your mind when you took that count-out loss last nigh—
BILLY DANIELSON: First off, don’t call me Billy, call me Mr. Danielson or World Champion. I’m not your friend and I’m certainly not some overhyped twitter troll like Mariano or Morales. Secondly, why did I take the count out? What a stupid question to ask. When I came back to Mainstream Wrestling, after getting my collar bone broken and having to relinquish the U.S. Championship, I said I was going to bring prestige back to the World Championship.
He adjusts the belt on his shoulder as he turns to face the camera.
BILLY DANIELSON: My championship belt is the highest prize in Mainstream Wrestling, and I should defend it against only the best this company has to offer. Every petty trinket title in Mainstream has contendership match after contendership match, but the world title? We get guys like A.J. and Manny who lose matches one week and get World title shots the next. Tell me how that makes sense? Tell me how having a match against an undeserving challenger makes sense? It doesn’t and that’s why-
? ? ?: ¡OYE, CABRÓN!
Billy doesn’t get half a second before—WHAM! In comes A.J. Morales with a Yakuza kick! Kinsley makes herself scarce as Danielson stumbles and tries to run off in the other direction—WHOA! Minka Carter flies in from out of the frame and levels him with a leaping elbow smash! The champ is down! His belt falls to the floor! Morales and Carter stomp mudholes into the champ for a good five seconds before they step back and take a look at their handiwork.
A.J. MORALES: Numbers game ain’t so fun now, huh? F#qkin’ punk-ass...
MINKA CARTER: A.J., look!
Minka points at the spot on the floor where the World Heavyweight title belt ended up, and he gives her a nod before heading over, picking it up, and dangling it in front of Billy’s face.
A.J. MORALES: ¡Hasta luego, chingada!
With the sound of footsteps fast approaching, A.J. and Minka split up, leaving AJ Knight to find Billy, propped up on his elbows, scowling at the floor, calculating his next move.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to MAINSTREAM 41 Night 3 of our three night event that is the Emerald City Classic!
CHARLES HUDSON: For the last four years I have called hundreds of matches with you McKayla in this broadcast booth but somethings been different this weekend. There is this nostalgic feeling in the studio that history is being written. I’m excited.
MCKAYLA LEWIS: I think we’re all excited for tonight’s matches Charles. Just in summary of the past two nights. We’ve seen Jacob Hammerstein and Julianna DiMaria fight tooth and nail to get to tonight’s finale! Tonight they decide just who will earn the right to be called the 2020 Emerald City Classic Champion! Also, DiMaria will be pulling double duty as she defends her United States Champion against the man she eliminated from the ECC just two nights ago. Jason Cashe is also in action but not here—I know that sounds crazy but he’ll be defending the World Television Championship against Tedmund Montgomery in a Northgate Mall Brawl! Now mind you the Northgate Mall hasn’t been open for several years now. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. You’ll also see Cartier and Trixie in action not to mention some exciting debuts!
