As the opening for the show finished the camera takes us down ring side, the first MMA fight of the night gearing up to take place as the two men stand in their respective corners.
Tim Floss: Greatings sports fans, I’m Tim Floss and as always, I am ringside with my good friend Albert Mordecai.
Albert Mordecai: Don’t get too comfortable with that word Tim.
Tim Floss: Your funnier than a chicken running around a pig pen Albert, how about you give our fans the run down for this match.
Albert Mordecai: Well Tim, we got Kosuke Toriyama, better known in Shinning Road as just KOSUKE, who comes in at 6’0” and weights a solid 242lbs. This man’s head has been said to be bigger and denser than the Tokyo Dome, and when you have seen some the blows he has taken it’s not hard to believe it. Hiroyuki Fukedome however might just be the kryptonite that promoters have been looking for to go against KOSUKE. He comes in at 6’2” 220lbs so he has a 2” height and reach advantage, but he is 22 lbs under in weight. He is the man known for the saying “you can beat any opponent with blocks and knees” and with KOSUKE, he might just have to prove that quote right tonight.
Tim Floss: Well it looks like we are about to start.
As the two men move around in their respective corners the PA announcer walks to the center of the ring.
PA Announcer: Welcome fans to the FUSION show, this is your first match of the evening. Introducing first, FIGHTING out of the red corner and stepping into the ring at 6’0” 242lbs, the man with the Iron Dome, KOSUKE TORIYAMA!
Kosuke simply bounces around in the corner as the fans pop.
PA Announcer: Introducing second, FIGHTING out of the blue corner, stepping into the ring at 6’2” 220lbs, Japan’s own Tuscan Laser, HIROYUKI FUKUDOME!
Hiro throws a few kicks and then waves to the fans.
PA Announcer: Our Referee for this bout his Merriam Futoboshi. This fight is scheduled for 3, 5 minute rounds or until someone submits or finds themselves in a TKO. So now, ladies and gentlemen, Ike’s and Tike’s, LET’S GET READY TO KICK SOME ASS!
The announcer’s steps back and out of the ring as the ref and the two fighters walk to the center of the ring. The usual explaination of rules gets passed and the two fighters hit gloves and walk back to their corners.
Ref: Are you ready, are you ready, FIGHT!

Tim Floss: Both men are coming out like two wild mares in heat let loose from the barn Albert.
Albert Mordecai: Whatever in the hell that means. These two men are definitely looking to prove something here tonight.
As soon as the ref signaled the bell the two men ran into the center of the ring to close the distance. Kosuke sent a few wild and heavy strikes that got easily blocked by Hiro. Kosuke shoots low and fast and is greeted by the “Crack Heard Around the Dome” as Hiro drove not one, but to wicked knees into the face of Kosuke. As Kosuke drops to the mat Hiro shoots in fast to take the fight to the mat, but Kosuke not only catches him in a full guard, but counters by rolling and positioning himself in the full mount as he rains down elbows and hammerfists into the arms and face of Hiro as he defends.
Tim Floss: Kosuke fights wilder than a retired rodeo bull. Hiro literally is in the worse position he could find himself early in this match.
Albert Mordecai: Agreed Tim. Kosuke is no slouch on the mat even after being cracked in the head after that failed double leg and with his weight advantage he has a natural advantage in putting his weight on top of Hiro. Even when he goes all in on those elbows Hiro has a hard time manipulating his opponent.
But somehow Hiro does indeed find a way to roll back into Kosuke’s guard and break free from his legs. As he gets back to his feet in signals for Kosuke to get back up and both men are back on their feet again. This time both men close the distance a bit more cautious, Kosuke leads in with a few jabs, but Hiro returns back with hard outside leg kicks. Kosuke backs away and switches to a southpaw stance as he comes back in with a fast hand fury, but Hiro covers up as he closes the distance and locks Kosuke in a clinch and starts kneeing anything exposed.
Tim Floss: MY GOD!
Albert Mordecai: Ribs, thighs, rib, thighs. As you might say Tim, Hiro seems to be tendering up Kosuke for a fine BBQ feast.
Tim Floss: That’s right friend! All he needs is the …
With wild abandon Hiro pulls Kosuke’s head down and lands a stiff knee to the nose, resulting in Kosuke replying by catching Hiro’s leg and pulling him in tight for a modified catch side suplex as blood pours from his nose.
Tim Floss: BBQ SAUCE!
Kosuke moves into a side mount and pushes his head into Hiro’s diaphragm as he reaches his arms across to control Hiro’s head and right leg. Hiro reaches up to try and lift Kosuke’s head but he is rewarded with a hard knee into his ribcage for a counter.
Tim Floss: Look at the wave of pain as it flushes over Hiro’s face.
Albert Mordecai: Looks like Kosuke is putting Hiro’s knee theory to the test.
Another knee, elbow, knee, elbow, knee, knee, knee, knee, AND HIRO’S SAVED BY THE BELL! Both fighters get up and make their way to their corners. The corner men of Hiro wipe the Kosuke’s blood from his torso as they ice his back, Kosuke’s men start to fix his nose.
Tim Floss: That was an epic first round, Kosuke sure took some blows, but he controlled that match on the ground.
Albert Mordecai: But don’t forget that Hiro landed some massive blows in the stand up and clinch. Kosuke’s left leg is starting to show a little wear from those kicks and just look at his ribs and nose for proof on how powerful those knees where.
The bells sounds and the two men get up for round two. The two men walk to the center of the ring and touch gloves in a show of respect. They back off for a moment to create come distance, then they both explode to the middle of the ring. Kosuke starts landing viscous punch combos. Jab, cross to the face followed by hooks to the ribs, then back to the face, then back to the stomach, ribs, then back up to the face as he drives Hiro into the corner and starts to unload.
Albert Mordecai: He’s like a man possessed!
Hiro reaches up for a clinch, eating a stiff blow to the side as he repositions KOSUKE IN THE CORNER! He starts firing of knees, elbows, then he backs off landing fists to the body and steps back for a hard right roundhouse to the temple of Kosuke that sends him stumbling out of the corner.
Tim Floss: How is he still on his feet?
Hiro runs forward for the single leg, only to be caught around the neck as Kosuke sprawls his legs out, still getting drove into another corner. Hiro punches and elbows Kosuke’s legs trying to loosen is hold around his throat, but Kosuke wrenches back with all his might. Hiro around Kosuke’s legs and manages to drive him to the ground in the corner, but Kosuke wraps his legs around Hiro’s midsection and tightens the guillotine choke, forcing Hiro to tap out.
Tim Floss: What an impressive match Albert.
Albert Mordecai: Indeed. Kosuke truly put himself to the test this time and showed up on top. This is truly and impressive win.
The two men walk to the center of the ring and as people pour into the ring for the post fight announcements.
